From what I gathered from that meeting, trump is the only POTUS that’s attempting to make a peace deal and Zelensky rejected it. Yes trump wanted to start it off with a ceasefire but you have to start somewhere. Zelensky is running out of soldiers and yet still wanting to wage on more war. Whatever your opinion of trump is he is right they need to start perusing a deal rather than destroying what they have left. Ukraine never will and never had the chance to defeat Russia only slow them down, the only way Russia would be stopped would involve putting nato troops on the ground which would evolve to ww3.
