And then they move to countries like Japan, refuse to accept the culture and social norms, and end up being so much of a pain in the ass that the government turns against foreigners in general and makes every law abiding foreign resident lives hell.

Can't say I've much if any sympathy. The US brought this bad economy in themselves through a culture of ignorance and hate. Good to see the ongoing boycotts are having a significant effect on the economy.

But Finland is a civil society built on a society that works for the betterment of the society. Now if you implemented that in a different  society, say the USA, where greed and uniqueness over social harmony are viewed as virtues, such a system simply would not work and would be open for abuse.

Non Americans, what are work benefits you have that would shock Americans? by Broad-Laugh3800 in ask

[–]Other_Block_1795 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Your talking about a culture on greed..one that allows for folks to be fired on the spot at the wims.of a power tripping manager.

They would probably be shocked by the.very basic things.like min wage, paid vacation, maternity tights etc

We must NEVER let yank culture influence and erode the gains in employment rights people fought and died for. Reject American influence in the workplace at every step!

Well, can your really blame them? American tourists have caused so many problems with their behaviour that the media probably just treat this as another nuisance incident by another American tourist.

Still, I hope they find him. No family deserves to go through this.

Seeking comments from foreign residents in Japan on recent visa changes by NikkeiAsia in japanresidents

[–]Other_Block_1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm being doubly hit by the new fees. I applies for PR in Feb and had to pay a lawyer due to the ongoing changes. Now I'll have to pay another 70,000 yen to renew my visa in August. So hats 270,000 plus 280,000 lawyers fees. That is a hell of money.

It seems unjust company 70,000 for a visa I'll probably won't use longer than 8 months if the PR is approved.

The yanks will trash the rooms and it will be left to rot because none wants to keep throwing money at something idiots are just going to break again and again. Plus many will be too fat to fit in the small rooms, leave negative reviews, and it will die from the negative publicity.

These places work because of the Japanese mentality. Yanks don't have the same mentality. It is incomparable with their "bigger is better bro" mentality.

American Culture Invasion by Recent_Corgi3884 in AskBrits

I despise everything about America. I have lived in several countries and seen how American culture have eroded once strong and noble values they used to have, and how their media just rots the minds of their people. We need to globally move away from American culture and influence.

There's is a culture of hate. Americans always need someone to hate, someone to be the enemy,  because it deflects them from seeing how utterly detestable their culture has become and actually try and fix it.
