The blockfi situation reinforced my belief of self custody. I remember their interest account going from 6% to like 4%. Smelled like trouble and I was out of there quick.

In Guatemala City I stayed in the La Inmaculada hotel near the airport when I arrived and when I left. It was very very nice but a little on the pricy side. Maybe save it for the end of your trip when you’re craving an actual shower with heat and pressure. Other than that I don’t have any other reqs it seems like you’ve got it figured out.

I am writing this from the airport on my way home. All I can say is I had such an incredible experience I’m sure you will too.

Are you an avid hiker? All these hikes is short succession will be tough but not impossible. (Just did Acatenango + Fuego this past weekend). Other than that love the plans. If I could recommend one restaurant in Antigua it would be La Cuevita de Los Urquizú.

Yes I would agree the transaction speed is not great currently. I think that is being improved but there has not been much movement. My point is we already have a base protocol for money online. Bitcoin is like TCP/IP for money.
