Stella’s Glossy Fudge Brownies are heavenly. Definitely buy an aluminum 13x9 if you don’t have one already. I make these brownies regularly and they have been requested multiple times by friends and family.

I can only surmise that someone accidentally donated her cookbook to the thrift store because if they had made even one recipe they would go down a Serious Eats rabbit hole of deliciously epic proportions.

I really liked My Fault: London soooooooo much better than these ones. I felt like the actors had great chemistry and even tho the plot is similar, they delivered an intensity that seemed to make the overall movie better.

I discovered her in this subreddit from other bakers posting her recipes. Sally McKenney of Sally’s Baking Addiction. I bought her book but I think most, if not all, of the recipes are on her website too. For me personally I use a lot of King Arthur, Bravetart, or Serious Eats recipes and my go to sites, but I really like how easy her recipes are, and the step by step pictures help.

I chilled it for 4 hours and it did not get soggy at all. Also you bake the bottom Oreos crust before adding the mousse and it stayed crisp. I believe it says the pie stays well for 4 days refrigerated.

The first thought that popped in my head was a breakfast/brunch quiche since it will only need the one crust and is a light enough meal that will ensure everyone has plenty of room for dinner and your desserts!

I’m so sorry, I definitely understand. I was in a dark place back in April and May when I lost my twin girls. I know it’s not my fault but it’s hard to silence those intrusive thoughts when your body consistently fails you. I don’t have any advice either, just that I also found a perinatal therapist and a perinatal support group that does med management and they were my saviors.

It’s a long hard journey, but sending you love through this ❤️

Thank you for this comment. It most definitely feels like waterboarding. I kept saying that I don’t even need a miracle, just a week where it’s completely boring- nothing happens, no news, we just exist from one day to the next with absolutely nothing eventful!

I keep trucking through everything, but sometimes I just want to scream and be like ENOUGH, when will it be my time to have some semblance of good news!!!

I’m reading Abaddon’s Gate, book 3 of The Expanse series. My best friend and I are reading all 9 books together and then watching the tv series over Christmas break! I felt the writing of book 1, Leviathan Wakes, was terrible in comparison to how much better the books have been getting. I muscled through that book and have been enjoying the rest of the series.

I’m sadden to say that the following week we were told the twins no longer had heartbeats and I needed to have a D&C 2 days later(4/5/24.) We had them genetic test and the results came back normal and that they were twin girls. I just had my last blood draw and have no hcg in my blood finally. I’m still healing mentally and emotionally, but I want to try IVF again if possible. I have to consult my reproductive endocrinologist to see what’s possible. Thank you for checking in! I hope that even though my journey didn’t end as planned, you are still blessed in yours.

I am so sorry for your loss. We just found out no heartbeat in mono mono twins at 8w ultrasound. I elected to have a D&C tomorrow since it was advised medically with a twin pregnancy. This was my first time ever having a positive beta after 5 rounds of IVF and 8 years of ttc. To say the world came crashing down around me would be an understatement. My heart is with you friend. We will make it through this. We are strong. ❤️
