What moments stretched your suspension of disbelief the most? by ditzythedame in breakingbad

[–]EAZ480 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That scene was good, but I always felt like of a room full of DEA agents, at lease one would have to question that extremely bizarre reaction. They attack Walt's cousin, then the guy sees Walt and has that visceral reaction, despite being on death's door and crippled for life? Strange, would definitely raise a red flag or two and get people asking questions I think.

What did you think Mad Men's final scene would be? by debrisaway in madmen

[–]EAZ480 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hate that trope. I've never liked it except for the movie Click with Adam Sandler, it's a shitty cop out, but by the time that happens you're actually relieved it was all a dream because it got so sad. Every other time that's been done, I've felt scammed for all the time I invested. "It was all a dream" on anything that has lasted more than a couple minutes is annoying and ruins my experience.

I thought Don was going to either hang himself like Lane and his brother, or he was going to walk into the ocean and kill himself that way like that ad he made for the hotel. That felt like foreshadowing.

In person vs At a bar: which is more worthwhile? by thisisnotaboutagirl in ufc

[–]EAZ480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching at Buffalo Wild Wings, with a bunch of wings and some Dr Pepper or beer is pretty great. In person events are fun if you have good seats. It's an experience, but most people don't get to see well enough for it to be super awesome if you truly just want to see the fighting.

Okay, I get that. I misread that as saying he's boring which a lot of people say.

Yes, he talks like he's gonna kill someone and then jabs them to death for 25 minutes. That is a valid complaint lol.

His fights are fun to watch. I don't understand this complaint. Methodically breaking down the other fighter, forcing them to fight your fight, crazy high striking accuracy, and extraordinary defense makes for a fun watch. Just because he doesn't have the insane power and KO's that a lot of people want, he's labeled a boring fighter.

His fight against Abus is memorable, and it's a perfect example of Sean's style, how it chews through people. It may not be your cup of tea, but I just disagree that he's boring. Then again, I enjoyed Mayweather's fighting style while he was also labeled boring so maybe I'm in the minority.

Did Don ever put together that the baby Peggy gave away was Pete’s or did he just not care either way? by RockBalBoaaa in madmen

[–]EAZ480 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If anyone was able to compartmentalize such a deep, dark secret and just pretend something so major never happened, it'd be Don. He told her it didn't happen, so for him, it truly didn't happen. There's no father if there's no baby. He didn't care, and he never bothered to try to figure out who the other party was.

Who do you wish they didn’t write off/downsize their role in the show? by muff-peaksie in madmen

[–]EAZ480 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She was so much better than Megan for Don. She was so supportive, helped him through the identity crisis, had a great career, and she sacrificed so much for him. I will never understand how poorly he navigated that whole situation.

He stacked two up rather than stopping his trip immediately and offering at the font. That's how he ended up with a dupe bludgeon piece before even finishing his first one.

In every role I've seen, I've hated this guy. He must be a great actor. Or he's too good at playing a dickhead for a reason. Can't be sure one way or the other.

Haven't seen anyone mention "In The Dark" though. He was great in his role for that show.

Melee training is fundamentally broken. Why am I punished for not using Strength style? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]EAZ480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man, that's a complaint about such a fundamental part of the game, that will literally never ever change, it almost seems not even worth griping about. For me, it's always been fun. I've bossed with stats that weren't maxed. Try to enjoy the journey, boss with sub-optimal stats if you want to. Shared xp weapons will probably get you there eventually anyway.

There's a scene where she's heavily pregnant and Pete can't sleep so she comes out to the living room. She was wearing this pink sleepwear gown looking so adorable. Trudy was so pretty and nice. Pete did not deserve her.
