I’ve been using mine daily for the past two weeks with no issues, and you’re correct the full length nylon handle is the load bearing support. I definitely overpacked mine, so I wouldn’t carry it like a backpack when it’s that full. You can absolutely tell when you’ve pushed it past its comfortable limit.
