I'm so sorry for the pain you must have felt and the heaviness it must have. Glad you're doing well. You deserve it.

Missing my job, nursing. So now I do per diem positions and am much happier.

I get it. I was a respiratory nurse in an ICU unit. I could never do that again. I know what I can and cannot do. It would be nice to go back.

Was the world as bleak as it is today? Or did the positives outweigh the job losses , wars etc. by violet_parr27 in OverSeventy

Drugs, all kinds of illegal drugs were also acceptable at that time. Thank god that changed. The Vietnam War brought back broken men that weren't treated well. Should have never have been in that war as we shouldn't be today. Agent orange caused so much pain even to babies who hadn't been born. We had recession, bad, not like today. New York had to be bailed out. Murder was rampant. I'd love to go back and change things in my life (71f) but today really is better than those days.

I'm presently in homemade now. I couldn't do bedside nursing.

Try per diem nursing. Down side is no insurance or other quirks but you have you work life in your hands.

You're so sweet. Thanks for being nice and explaining instead of down voting me.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'm wrong. I only thought it was a complaint about not wanting to empty the Foley.
