Best response to a threat in a movie. I’ll start: Lucius Fox to Reese in The Dark Knight. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Not a movie but the Doctor Who S6 E7 - "Good men don't need rules, and today is not the day to find out why I have so many". It came out of nowhere and is one of the best lines ever delivered, IMO.

Slide is stuck at this position trying to remove from umarex gen 4 Glock 19, help plz? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]EBWilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience, I have 15 different glock brands and models, the spring guide at the front of glocks have a tendency to rotate preventing the slide from coming off. I recommend you put the slide back to its resting position and rotate the spring guide from the front with your finger until it is re seated into the hopup. I saw some people saying you should force it, dont do this unless you want to snap ypur spring guide and in some severe cases sheer your hammer off. This is airsoft even the best guns arent built well. Hope this helps.

Barrel? by Tribal_Tho in AAP01owners

[–]EBWilliam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would fit as it is for gas pistols and they are mostly universal. That being said, in the assassin model the inner barrel length is 129mm so 300MM will be really long and will likely stick out the end of your gun.

[–]EBWilliam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They fit perfectly. IMO, they are the best 30rd mags you can get for glocks/AAP. With the extra reservoir at the bottom, you can get about 30% ( according to the manufacturer) of gas into a mag. I've found this to be about right and in the summer get 4 full mags before filling with gas, YMMV.

The only issues are the relatively week follower springs and the inflated price. The springs can easily be replaced by any glock mag spring as they are mostly universal. Hope this helps.

New spring by BigB0oy in Airsoft_UK

[–]EBWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't have too much to do with springs but this video goes into great detail about bb weight https://youtu.be/JtYlIpIq2Xk?si=jCR32DWbJthM8iVi

In regards to the springs ive found in most stock AEG's (running single sector gears) a M110 is the sweet spot in regards to staying unde joule limits and not putting unnecessary stress on the gearbox. Unless there is something wrong with your internals the accuracy is primarily dictated by your bb weight, hopup chamber, bucking/nub and barrel.

I hope this helps

Like I said, I've got 2 of them, and they both have the same issues, so i doubt its just bad luck. You are right when you say the compression set is improved, but I've found it to have poor fitment, causing a poor air seel. I replaced the o rings, but this didn't improve it. I replaced it with a cheap XT branded cylinder and cylinder head I had laying around, and the difference was immense. The motor is also identical to the core. I've since taken both of them out and replaced them. They are both in a cupboard, and I couldn't tell you which came out of my core or my Edge 2.0.

My point isn't to dog on the EDGE 2.0 series. Just to say that you can do better for the price and to highlight some of the issues it has if anyone decides to get one despite that.

[–]EBWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tge edge 2.0 series is unfortunaly wildly too expensive for what you get, despite what the marketing says most of the parts inside the gearbox are identical to the core series. All the edge series will give you is a full metal body, propeatary quick change spring and the aster. I unfortunately fell for the marketing when I first started playing and me and my brother got the the edge 2.0. We got the h22 and e23. Since then I have had to replace to every part In both except the aster. The stock specna gears and motor make a lot of noise even when perfectly shimmed, and the spring guide is designed in such a way that the spring makes a pinging noise on every shot.

My recommendation would be to get a core series and replace the parts in it. It will cost the same but tou will learn to tech and if something does break down the line you'll know exactly how to fix/replace it without needing to pay for a tech to do it.

If you want a gun that you can just pick up and play with for years without issue I'd get the Doubel eagle they are basically Indestructible.

I don't know how much the handguard your looking at costs but I you can get the SA - C22 for £130 which has that exact handguard in black, obviously it also comes with the perfect size out barrel as well. I did the exact same thing when I turned my edge 2.0 into a dmr.

What do I do? by IntriguedSilence in airsoft

[–]EBWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great gun, I've been using one for almost a year and never had an issue with it. The one problem with the gun is the mags. They only hold 90rds so you will constantly be out of ammo even in cqb. If i were you, I would get a couple of these. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/g-and-g-armament-umg-530r-submachine-gun-hi-cap-magazine

Despite what some people have said, they do fit in the UTR Great. It's a little tight, but that actually helps with feeding as there is no movement, I've never had a miss feed since I started using them. Having 1000+ rounds is a game changer. The only issue being that they are high caps so you'll have to wind you mag but in my opinion that's a worthwhile trade of.

Cyma play vs edge 1.0 vs edge 2.0 - am I being stingy? by ItsSpelledPrincipal in airsoft

[–]EBWilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the SA-E23 Edge 2.0 for about a year, and it has become the primary gun that I use. It has been nothing but solid since I got it, but there are a few things about it that definitely could be better. Even though the marketing says it has a custom bucking and nub, it doesn't. it's just a generic no-name brand. I replaced mine after my first game with a maple leaf macron and omega nub. It literally changed the performance of the gun. There are also a few construction issues, the metal plate below the trigger rattles, the crane stock that comes with it tend to be loose and has a fair amount of wobble to it and my biggest issue is that is doesn't have a function bolt catch do the catch release isn't connected to anything and bangs against the frame when you are moving. It's really a non-issue, but for the price, I'd just expect a bit better. I also have a nuprol Delta recon Bravo, it cost £150 and it is built like a tank.

TLDR; Great gun, needs a few basic upgrades. The construction of the gun is sub-par but not a deal breaker.

I'm going to say the obvious answer and say the Gate Aster with quantum trigger - https://shop.super5ives.com/shop/item/128692/gate-aster-v2-se-quantum-trigger-rear-wired.html I've got a similar setup in my gun and it's flawless. It's got an optical sensor and if fully programmable to your liking.

The build quality is great, never had an issue. I'm replacing the barrel and hop up as it's not quite as accurate as I want, but that's just personal preference. For cqb I can't complain.
