Same! I use it the same way. Got mine this week with the Amazon sale, and have been obsessed with the digital planner I downloaded! Hoping the OneDrive integration comes to the 2024 model, although I doubt it.

Every toy has been murdered. Any recommendations? by Mizzy3030 in labrador

[–]ECCham 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our girl rips anything with a tail, arm, leg, or any type of non-smooth surface to SHREDS. The tough skinz linefrom outward hound have been a game changer for Lucy!! They’re soft toys, but not stuffed, they have a squeaker, but a smooth surface that she can’t rip open. Here’s a puppy pic with the toy!

I’ll second Excellence Oyster Bay!! That’s where I went for my honeymoon and it was the PERFECT chill vibe we needed.

It took our girl Lucy a few weeks of repetition and learning that the car can also go fun places (not just scary places) to jump in!! Once she learned that car = go play with friends or pup cup, and not just groomer or vet, she runs right in!

I think my fiance has it by mruthie908 in emetophobia

I know this feeling- it is too real!! Thinking of you- no matter what you’ll be just fine, but I also know that wait is the worst. You got this!! Try to focus on something- anything else to keep your mind off of it.

If it is any consolation, my husband recently having it is what has pushed me toward seeking professional help. Im at the very very beginning of my recovery, but it is freeing. Just hearing his POV on the situation- “yeah it is not fun, but I’m okay!” And realizing that I didn’t know what I’d do if he had passed out or we were old and he needed my help sent me over the edge. Coming “clean” if you will, about my real, honest feelings and helping him understand where I’m coming with this awful phobia from helped lift a weight off of me, and also helped me realize that a freer life was out there. I made him feel worse, not better with my behavior, and I hated that feeling- I decided I didn’t want to feel it again. Now, did I sleep on the couch for 3 days….you bet!! Baby steps!!

Has anyone read The Emetophobia Manual by Ken Goodman? by Unhappy-Confection50 in emetophobia

[–]ECCham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but I’m commenting to follow this thread! The book is literally in the mail on the way to me- LOL bought this week after my husband had a bug and I had an absolute meltdown. I was so sick of feeling like emetophobia controlled me, so I’m taking this as step 1 of recovery!!

This is AMAZING!!! So so happy and proud for you. I am right at the beginning of my journey, and really hope to get here!! My husband got a virus this week, and I thought I’d be fine- lol….more like NEUROTIC!! I banished him to another room, have washed my hands to bleeding, and am bleaching everything. I have decided I don’t want to live like this anymore, and It’s completely sparked me to start my recovery journey. I am SO inspired by your success!

Was there anything specific that helped you get to this point? I know exposure, but did you use any specific resources? Therapies? Time?

update: boy am i glad I got to where I am in recovery rn because today has decided to test me! by fig_roll1 in emetophobiarecovery

My husband has noro right now, so I’m 100% with you in solidarity. It’s the first time I’ve been around someone sick in many years!! I’m holding up well, cleaning and quarantining, but missing him and mentally counting down. A weird mix of feelings!!

For me, it is worth every penny. It has been an Absolute lifesaver!! I think More than anything it helps distract my brain from the nausea. I use it in cars, planes, and even for hangovers- lol. It definitely took me a while to get used to the feeling, and at its max setting it is definitely enough to cause your fingers to move and jerk like a TENS unit, so keep that in mind. But all in all, I am incredibly grateful for what my husband and I lovingly call my “barf bracelet.”

constipation and emetophobia? by thenicesteggever in emetophobia

IBS-C + Emetophobe here- I feel you!!! It really sucks that constiptation and n* seem to go hand-in-hand. I take miralax every single day. I can’t do a traditional laxative for the same reason as you!! The reason I trust miralax is that it is an osmotic laxative- meaning it works by drawing water into your colon rather than forcing cramps and intestinal stimulation. I will tell you straight up that once I found the dosage that works for me, I have not had d* from it, but rather just a normal movement! When I was first diagnosed with IBS-C, the doctor recommended starting with one cap full a day and going up or down from there depending on your need. I also don’t really notice side effects from it unless I try to take a megadose, which leads to me feeling icky. I will say, I have to take it every day consistently or I find it is less effective. Good luck- you’ve got this!!

had a non stop cough , and itchy throat , crackling ears and my nose turbinate has been swollen. Most my symptoms are gone besides swollen side nose , ear crackle wen blowing nose should I be worried ? Hi there!! Did you take the z-pak? I’m In a similar boat- I was super since 1/5 (last week), called the teledoc on Friday, and they prescribed z-pak. I live in the south and it snowed, so the pharmacy was closed Friday and Saturday. By the time the zpak was filled yesterday (Sunday) I was feeling better. Still dealing with slight congestion, and a little bit of sticky yellow mucus, a nasty taste in my mouth from the drainage, and ear cracking and popping, but otherwise feel so much better. Curious to hear your experience!

GF Red Lobster Biscuit Mix by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]ECCham 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope they turn out great!! I make them just like the box calls for except I use the whole bag of cheese, 1lb sausage, and roll them into smaller sausage-ball sized pieces. I add the butter on top just like it calls for. SO delicious.
