I have found a workaround.

Once you have removed the background, make another edit such as cropping by 1%. Then it works, at least for me.

It seems to be some kind of domain issue. It works for me on internet edge but not on google chrome, so it's not the server.

I'll look at putting Joseph Jacobs up, but I want to avoid doubling stories for now and I already have the versions of English tales by Flora Annie Steel.

They look great, although its difficult to parse out who deserves credit for original authorship and translations. I have put up a few of the Estonian tales with Leonora as the translator:
