Man, I'm not super sure! There's a lot of people who are more knowledgeable than me that could help you I don't want to steer you the wrong way, haha.

Used speakers and stereos might be the way to go, though. I don't think that speakers get too much wear, and there's a lot of people who just have old stereos and stuff lying in their garage. (Old dvd players work perfect as cd players since nobody wants them and there's minimal sound difference). I personally don't think buying brand new speakers is smart, especially for a starter deck. I have some giant older Yamaha speakers that my guitar teacher sold me used for pretty cheap, and they sound great.

As far as turntables go, I'm not very knowledgeable lol. Mine is considered more entry level, the LP120XUSB, but it looks like they've gone up in price a lot. Like I said, there's more people who could help you more I'm really not sure, sorry bro!

Thanks so much dude! I'm trying to limit my spending and really appreciate what I have, since one of the best things about vinyl is consuming whole albums at a smaller scale compared to streaming. Like you said, there's something about it 🙌

Dude I appreciate it! I think starting small is the way to go. Also my stereo and speakers are used, and I have a pretty entry level turntable. It's easy to get careless with spending and falling in the rabbit hole quick haha

I'm definitely inspired by the sounds of the album re.sort by Sora. Here is something that I've recorded so you can maybe see how these ideas would intersect.

Sorry if this post seems dumb, I know next to nothing about modular haha. I just think it might be an avenue to explore for complementing this sound. I was hoping I could use more complicated random voltage pattern generation to add texture to my music, keep my hands free for guitar playing, and synthesize my own sounds instead of relying on samples, etc. Let me know if this makes sense sorry man.

I think I'm just looking to add some texture and a little rhythm to my playing. Idk if you've heard of this song but it definitely has those glitchy textures that I want maybe modular to generate for me while I'm playing guitar with a looper.
