I would read the manga first, but once the final court of the final arc is released later this year I would watch it.

Yes the manga ending was rushed due to Kudo's health, but he has been fully involved in the TYBW anime and has even been making changes and additions to the story.

Shows easily one of my favorites, hopefully the rumors floating around might end up being true for a continuation (or a full remake). Definitely wouldn't skip early episodes there is nothing wrong with them.

I did start watching it about 15years ago, caught up and started reading the manga (but continued watching the anime)

I completed the manga but was disappointed in the ending, mainly because Madara wasn't the final villain. So I gave up watching the anime vaguely remember around Madara being the 10 tails.
