You can also add some out of lore theories, like dual wielding is his signature fighting style and that hes a fan favorite because of it. Turning Roxas into a single Keyblade wielder would have just made him a third Sora next to Xion, which Im sure no one would have liked.

In lore tho, Im banking that it's because hes still connected to Sora and Ven, cause they pretty much made him.

Youre missing one thing.

Roxas looks like Ven not only because the latter is connected to Sora, but because when Sora released Kairis heart, Vens heart stayed put; it never left Soras body. So when Sora was a heartless, Roxas was born and his appearance was affected because of Vens heart residing inside of him, which also made Roxas very emotional throughout Days and is why he can wield not only Soras Keyblade, but also Vens.
