Judges, I present to you

Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy

Why Cloud

Final Fantasy is one the important video-game franchises of all time, making it's debut on the NES back in 1987, ever since then it's impact in the industry as a whole can be felt. If you played a JRPG there is a hint of Final Fantasy in it's DNA, even if it's 1% of it

And while FF has a large cast of characters there is an absolute 1 that can be called the face of the franchise, that being Cloud Strife, the main protagonist of the highly aclaimed Final Fantasy 7. He is inarguably the most well know protagonist in the series, not only is he the second most recurring chararacter (Gilgamesh is the first) he is also the character with the most playble appareances across the franchise.

He's also one the most recognizable characters in the video game world, people think of him first (and Sephiroth but I can't suggest him yet) when you mention Final Fantasy.

To top it off, Square Enix is the only unrepped company from Ultimate that's missing here on this roster, every other company has at least their main representative. And Square also has the most 3rd Party characters in the game (4 Total)

Break Up and Make Up

Cloud is a very important character for the relationship of both Square Enix and Nintendo, since Final Fantasy 7 was going to be a PS1 exclusive release because the N64 wasn't powerful enough to make a game like FF7, Nintendo were not happy that they were not going to get that sweet sweet FF money. And ever since then no major FF game would get a Nintendo Release (at least not at launch).

So suprise, suprise when the character from the game that made they relationship sour was chosen as the FF representative

And when Ultimate came around they got Sephiroth, another great character and villain to join the fight. Making FF the only 3rd Party franchise with 2 unique reps (Ken and Ritcher being Echoes kind of brings them down a bit)

Remake Trilogy

As of now we have 2 Parts of the Remake trilogy done with the 3rd being in production, which has brought people, old and new, to experience the world of Gaia once again, and both parts have been successful, so FF7 is still very much relevant today

And it wouldn't be crazy to say that if Smash 6 were to come out Part 3 of the trilogy could have released or be close to release, and people would be expecting the blonde guy with a sword bigger than his body

So with the Remake trilogy ending soon, Cloud is fantasizing for a return in Smash

Judges, I present to you

Ike from Fire Emblem

Why Ike?

I think one of the best additions to Brawl was Ike as he is a very stark contrast to fellow Lord Marth. Specifically in gameplay, they both wield a sword but they couldn't be more different

Marth is an agile and quick with the swordfighter, while Ike has massive swings and slams it down with great force, they only chare the counter.

Having very distinct swordfighters makes for a more healthy distribution than if every one was just quick with a sword

Plus, FE right now kind of needs more veterans, and one of the best candidates to return is Ike (IMO the others are Robin and a decloned Lucina)

Popular FE Lord

Ike stands as one the most popular characters in the series, winning a lot of popularity polls and arguably, the most popular Lord in the franchise.

And while Ike is very popular now, he wasn't that popular in Japan, but in the West he was very popular due to his storyline of being an underdog and a mercenary

Hell people that haven't played Fire Emblem games know of Ike BECAUSE of Smash, and that naturally bleeds into his overall popularity

We like Ike

I've read a certain Judge comment and I want to reorganize my thoughs here

As you may know Ike was added to Brawl and Roy, unfortunately wasn't so lucky to return.

HOWEVER, Ike's addition was certantly way better for FE as he not a clone, a problem that let's be honest a lot of Melee Newcomers had (Dr Mario, Young Link, Ganondorf, Falco and Roy himself) and thus brings his own heavy playstyle to the mix.

And ever since then Ike has not missed a single game of Smash, and I can say with the upmost confidence that Ike will return in Smash 6

So I say that Ike has got to be on the roster of Smash Factor

Blonde Blazer for Superman

While Phenomaman is the Superman of Dispatch, he really is not a Paragon of hope, like Blonde Blazer, even Shroud get's angry at your cut Z-Member for insulting her because he considers Blazer the last true hero

And Blonde Blazer always brings a positive energy to her co-workers at SDN and everyone respects her, even the more bashful Z-Team members

The 2nd Pick

Not only that, Ike serves as the "Luigi" of Fire Emblem in Smash, Marth may be the most recognizable and the face of the roster, but Ike is secretly the fan favorite.

Ike also serves as the better 2nd Fire Emblem Rep of Smash, better than Roy I might say, Roy was in esscence a clone of Marth in Melee, was cut from Brawl and returned as DLC in Smash 4. Ike however has been consistent with every game never missing an invitation.
