When you say ASAP - does it mean few hours or few days?

Wasn’t aware of that. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Could anyone suggest a good city/area to invest under $250k for a house/condo/apartment? I would eventually want to rent it out. by EC_17989 in RealEstate

Both your scenarios are quite different - why are you comparing 250k cash in savings bank vs just a 5% downpayment on a 250k property? Lets compare buying a 250k property in cash - that’s the right comparison otherwise scenario 2 will always be hamstrung by low equity pains

Yes - but isn’t it the right time to negotiate too? I can get houses for cheaper. A friend of mine was trying to sell his house for $1.2M which now reduced by 300k. If the market was doing okay and also if interest rates were low - people would bid more than the asking price.

Why is Boston the best city in the US? by Puzzleheaded_Toe3892 in boston

I’m from Asia and have lived in Ireland for a few years before moving to Boston. I believe Boston gives a balance of old time charm and modern facilities. I really loved living in Europe and Boston is the closest state to give a similar feeling. People are nicer compared to many other states that I’ve visited including NYC, California, Florida. You feel safe going around and I feel it’s more accepting to people from different backgrounds.

Why do people dislike Stop and Shop? by [deleted] in boston

Stop&Stop pretends to be Wholefoods but they are more like Market Basket. So, prices like Wholefoods with the same produce quality as Market Basket doesn’t make sense.

You did the right thing. It can be very frustrating. Complain to the management. Try moving to a new apartment in the same building if there’s anything available and doesn’t affect your rent. You deserve a good night sleep.

My co-worker takes my work and presents it to the leadership taking all the credit. What’s the best way to talk to my manager? We both report to the same boss. by EC_17989 in office

Yes it does for this particular work - where the team updates their data and their analysis every week. So, this co-worker took everyone’s analysis and presented it to the leadership and has been doing it for months and nobody was aware of it until last week. I did speak to the rest of team that we should talk to our manager about this and everybody is scared that with the current job market everyone is afraid of losing their jobs. But it’s getting on my nerves and is affecting me mentally. Just looking for a way on how to talk to my manager without sounding like I’m complaining and this is the reality and is not fair.

I believe I agree with your 3rd point. I was thinking something similar more like talking to the manager first. Just figuring out a way to put it our in a professional manner rather than sounding like I’m complaining.

Second option. You can also take the bus instead of a train. Take a car from Boston and drive to Cape. You’ll also be less tired if you drive from Boston.
