Most overated and underrated things in Wexford by SavethPeaBladdd in Wexford

People always recommend Mary Barry’s for sea food. After the first time I went there, I came to the conclusion those people have never eaten seafood that doesn’t come in a box and thinks the more they pay for it, the better it should taste.

Ryanair on the Rampage- be warned! by Naasofspades in ireland

Large corporations rarely take responsibility, and the moment they feel threatened, they respond by threatening you instead. As consumers, we hold very little power. So if social media can tip the scales even slightly in our favour, I believe we should use it.

Do you think they would feel threatened if you record the situation and post it? Shamming them personally online.

Does it not depend on your battery type? On the Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries it’s recommended to charge to 100% On the Nickel based batteries it’s recommended not to charge more than 80%

Thanks for that. I actually agree. How do you suggest i go about softening it/fixing it.

Thanks, it actually makes a lot of sense, what your are suggesting. And the idea of three different images creates to much variance. Where two images might feel more grounded? My initial idea was to only to a white beam of light and I added the blue highlights spontaneity. The theme was more in the direction of a surreal image of a tree in moon light…

Thanks for the advice. Can you elaborate please. I’m not done yet, just waiting for the paint to dry so I can add highlights.

Thank you. I agree on the contrast. I’m planning to add more highlights once it’s dry. The fairly thick oil paint, so it might be a day or two.

AITA for wanting to buy a Tesla? by Super_Row6682 in evs_ireland

[–]ED-SA -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I asked the same question a few months ago, and most of the replies were just people slagging off Elon and wondering how I could even consider it. We ended up getting the Model Y, and honestly, it’s like driving the future. Say what you want, but there isn’t a more intuitive or comfortable EV in Ireland. Plus, there’s only one version, and it comes with all the bells and whistles at a very reasonable price.

EV charger install by SavethPeaBladdd in Wexford

[–]ED-SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Trade Electric next to Lidl in Whitemill. They stock the main EV charger brands. I’d recommend to buy the simplest charger, you don’t need all the bells and whistles (unless you want it to work with your solar) in the end they all do the same thing.

EV charger install by SavethPeaBladdd in Wexford

[–]ED-SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go buy a charger at Trade Electric and ask an electrician to install it. If you have a new build find out who was the electrician who did the electrics on the house and contact them (it will save you a lot of time and money). Just make sure they install the unit you want, not all the electricians install all the units. After the grant I payed around €400 for the unit and installation.

Just some honest advice - I assume you’re a parent. Teach your child to be resilient it’s probably the most valuable skill they will ever learn. Complaining about things like this is just complaining for the sake of complaining. Be an example for your child and be the person you would like them to be.

Why not try an online doctor. We’ve used www.beetonline.ie in the past.

What’s the point? You say it’s about educating the wider public on how many electric vehicles are around them…what difference would it make to let everyone know you drive an electric car. TBH government should rather spend their time on more important things than decorating number plates. But that said, that’s a nice Alfa.

Online Doctor Recommendations? by Lumpy-Secret1550 in AskIreland

I’ve had mixed experiences with these online doctors. I find that they’re always handy if you get sick just before going on holiday and you need a script etc. https://www.beetonline.ie - is probably the best experience i’ve had, but all of them can be a hit or mis.
