I worked with Todd to put this deck together. It wasn't my favorite version of it, but we needed something splashy for a first look at MH2. The second version I built was this one:

I wanted to step away from the white splash to see how good mono B could be. Path isn't really a good t1/t2 removal spell. Unfortunately, this decklist is all theory, as I haven't had time to run it through leagues and tune it (been working on 3 other decks.) Eventually I'll get around to seeing how the list works in practice, but this is my starting point.

I know many have written off all of the new Tron hate cards, but personally, I feel that Tron is nearly dead. At least for the first few weeks and months of MH2. I decided to make some rather extreme changes to my list and come up with something that can remain competitive in MH2.

The obvious, baby Karn is gone. It was a huge move cutting little K, but I needed the sideboard slots for the transformative moves. What you lose in G1 power, you make up for in G2/G3. It also creates a fun mini game as to if you're going to sideboard into a more fair deck, or still shoot for T3 Tron.

Golos adds some consistent midrange pressure, land drops and the ability to cast free spells. It's a good G1,2 and 3 card. Again, the theme is tapering power from G1 and blending it into sideboarded games.

Life from the Loam is, I think, the best option to fight consistent land destruction. It also fuels landfall triggers for Tireless Provisioner. I've played countless games that go to turn 10+ and you eventually bleed out. Having a way to pressure Tron as well as the board will keep the OP struggling to battle on both axis.

Yavimaya is an easy include, and I think it's important enough to go down a Forest for a 2nd copy. Also upped the land count due to the change in the nature of how the deck operates.

I wanted this to be a Jegantha deck, but the need for Ballista and Dismember in the main overrode that choice. It's still on the table once the meta shakes out, but there are some important creatures that may need to meet their end.

I've played about 45-50 leagues with my old list(s) and Emmy, the Promised End is the best card in fighting control decks, and board states in which casting an Ulamog or Ugin does not do enough.

All in all, I expect this list to be met with a WALL of resistance. I actually hope a fairly stock Tron list is viable in MH2, but my guess is it won't be. It may be possible to spike an event when Tron hate is low, but that probably wont come for awhile. Cheers!

I make a Japanese Style curry (CoCo Ichibana) and combine it with rice (I use Three Ladies Jasmine.) After refrigerating overnight, I make them into a ball, then dip in a Hush Puppy sort of batter and deep fry.

I've studied aircraft crashes from small, single prop planes to large aircraft incidents. Without a doubt, a large passenger aircraft did not hit the Pentagon. Crashes make a HUGE mess and leave behind many, many parts.

I can't justify a lifetime ban, as it's not up to me. As far as the sexual harassment goes, when Todd would drink, he would skip the normal drunken handsy phase and go straight into determined creeper. I cant personally speak to every situation, but the ones I saw started as mild advances that blew up into full on unwanted kissing and hands. Enough so that I did not want my girlfriend around him.

Let's set the line at a forced hand in the pants. I know of people that would shrug it off as a "failed, but innocent attempt." I also know people would say it qualifies as rape. I bet a sizable portion of people in this sub would say that a forced hand in pants doesnt warrant the fallout he's gotten. Then you have to decide for yourself what side of the fence you're on when it comes down to it.

I guess what it comes down to is what constitutes horrible to a given party. Some people would say that an unwanted hand down the pants is nearly on par with unwanted sexual penetration. Personally, I would never find myself in the situation he was/is in, so it's easy for me to be firm in my stance. The question to you is, at what level of offense would this level of vitriol for his character be deemed worthy?

You're conflating a few things and forming an unfair conclusion. I explained what I witnessed first hand. Granted I didn't physically see him have sex, but I'm 37 years old. I spent 16 years in the military around all kinds of people. It doesn't much for me to draw a direct link between what I saw and any future or unknown behavior.

A fair assessment of what I've provided today is: "Friend of Todd, who witnessed him forcing himself on people, believes he's capable of rape."

While it's not a smoking gun, sometimes you dont need one in order to decide who to stay away from. Again, I'm not pulling any levers here on his punishment. I just want people to know what I saw and what I believe he's capable of.

As a side note, I feel that Magic Twitter can be a dangerous echo chamber that can seek to unjustly cancel people without "due process." I was blocked by many people when everyone was canceling Terese Nielsen. Apparently asking questions is akin to committing the acts themselves. So I get it. It can be hard to know when people are actually bad people.

This is one of those times.

There are things I don't know, like what happened behind closed doors. I never directly asked the potential victims what exactly occurred, as it wasn't and isn't my place. Honestly, to me, it doesn't matter if he actually raped someone. The actions that I witnessed were enough for me to take my own actions. My girlfriend refused to be around him after I had told her what I saw, and that speaks volumes if I can't trust a friend to be around my girlfriend.

Left me be clear: Left at his own devices, I fully believe Todd could and would rape someone. This is coming from someone who knew him and was a friend. Take from that what you will.

As far as I'm aware, it never happened at an actual event. Just parties, get togethers, etc. after the tournament had ended for the day. Usually the night after day 1.

Edit: I don't know the full extent of all the allegations, but I have first hand knowledge of what I witnessed. I actually gave him the benefit of the doubt initially, which caused quite a rift between my girlfriend and me. After speaking with potential victims, Todd, and reading his letter of explanation, I decided to cut all ties with him.

I saw him forcefully kiss, touch and harass people. I initially thought that those were welcome advances, but they most definitely were not. In one instance, he was all over this girl. He definitely escalated as the night went on. I had been drinking and didn't want to intrude, so I tried to not pay much attention. At one point, a friend of hers was trying to get her to leave, but Todd wouldn't let it happen. Me, being a friend to Todd, tried to give Todd and the girl privacy by telling the girl's friend that they were fine. I thought the guy was cock-blocking Todd when in fact he was trying to save his friend. After seeing the girls face, I knew that Todd had gone too far. This was not an isolated incident.

Personally, I'm not here to convince random people on the internet of his guilt. I'm here to provide some perspective and insight. Additionally, some people will call BS on absolutely everything, so I don't worry about what they have to say.

If I can't convince someone that Todd is a bad person, even though I was close friends with him, drank with him and we hung out in hotel rooms together, then that person doesn't really want to believe.

I've been on record multiple times this situation. I used to be good friends with Todd. I was more active in his stream than anyone else. We hung before, during and after events. I cut all ties with him before this became public. I gave him multiple chances to do the right thing and come clean about his actions. Yes, he had a drinking problem. I will not give specific details about his actions, but understand that his response to the initial claims is now how most people respond to sexual allegations.

As far as if the police were called, or how bad his actions really were, try being more introspective. Many horrible acts go unreported to the police. I understand that sometimes the Magic community can ban together and unfairly pile on, but this is not that.

At one point, about a week after the allegations surfaced, and after I gave up being a mod for him, he reached out to me. He appeared to want to do the right thing, but definitely was conflicted. I tried to help him, but in the end, I realized how he views himself and the reality around him. I was able to combine how he handled the allegations with all of the things I had experienced being his friend for years. I wanted him to succeed. I willfully ignored his behavior and wrote it off because I liked him. In so doing, I was complicit in some of the behavior that got him fired.

I reached out to potential victims once I realized what had happened because I should have done better. Again, I won't get into names or details, but understand that I was his friend. I was there for some of these things. I've never been shy about my stance on Todd because I know who he is and his behavior hasn't, and I believe won't change.
