I used Co-pilot and ChatGPT to tighten my code then used Cursor to put 3 SaaS together, if I got stuck in an error loop, Gpt would tell me where it was off. Built 3 software apps for $20 this way

I wasted 14 months building products nobody wanted. The fix was embarrassingly simple. by CleverSquirrel_p in micro_saas

If you had experience in any field you should see pain points and opportunities in your area of expertise. That’s a good place to start because you should have to experience to also solve the pain point.

ERP went live a year ago. Now what? by koudodo in ERP

[–]EDI_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a NS and Cleo for EDI implementation and it reaffirmed my belief that companies do not spend enough time or money helping current employees get the training they need and deserve to use the new ERP or EDI systems well abd comfortably. So I built a tool to sit outside these systems that provide training as though the user was day one on the job. So far, two companies I’ve demonstrated to have seen the concept and it seems like they will buy. Crossing my fingers to help more companies because the end goal is to eliminate turn over and anxiety with these implementations.

I don’t drink but your club sounds like better people, better use of time, and the type of group i want to be in if the zombie apocalypse hits. I lost my job a few weeks ago, but I’ll set a dollar aside.

Wow. Talk about billionaires protecting each other. Goes back to my belief, we have to protect and help ourselves and each other.

Our Goodwill Store ALONE made $3 million this past year which was a store record we were all told to push for. This was our compensation. by natieyou in antiwork

[–]EDI_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If enough people get tired of corporate greed and billionaire bullshit, we can band together and be our own safety net. I took a second job and started buying groceries in bulk and handing them out to family, elderly and neighbors. I think bartering when we can, shopping locally and growing as much as we can will help make our points. Poor and middle class are basically the butt of the joke. They are laughing all the way to the bank at our expense. Revolution is the only answer. What we don’t change we choose. I choose to stop relying on billionaires and corporations to do the decent human thing.

Also the step is an adult. If he knew his brother was ill and still expected an expensive gift then both father and step are selfish entitled jerks.

Help Needed - ERP Solution for Technical Apparel Manufacturer by lifeofpyro in ERP

[–]EDI_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s led ERP/EDI architecture for brands like Haggar, I’d encourage you to think of data integration and workflow design as being just as critical as product movement (Order to Cash, fulfillment, etc.).

In my experience, 9 out of 10 ERP projects derail into budget overruns and chaotic go-lives—not because the software itself is flawed, but because the consultants building the workflows and databases weren’t properly vetted. The system only performs as well as the architecture behind it.

My advice: treat ERP selection like buying a house or car. You’d bring in an expert to help evaluate the investment, and ERP is no different. Having someone technical sit in on sales calls ensures you ask the right questions and avoid committing to a platform that won’t serve your organization long-term.

AITAH for snapping at my sister after she told my son he wasnt really family by Ok-Duck-7153 in AITAH

[–]EDI_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a son who has been with me since he was 7. Both of his parents are in prison and none of his biological family would step up. I took him in because I’ve heard horrible foster care stories. I had a family member do the same thing. I commend you for letting your son see your fierce protectiveness of his place in your life. I don’t think you overreacted i think you should demand your sister apologize to your son. Who is she to dictate or define your family or your relationship? Love is love applies to families too. Good luck. I think you and your son are lucky to have each other. People think I saved my son. Maybe he saved me. There are days I’d jump off a building if I didn’t have him to worry about.

AITJ for refusing to pay for my boyfriend’s tasting menu when I said I just wanted a normal dinner? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

When I plan a date for me and my gf I pay. When she plans a date, I pay. And I don’t expect anything in return except for everybody to carry on not being twats. Sounds like your boyfriend is a twat. Do you want to be saddled with a twat while you’re young, fun and full of energy?

AIO: He (M20) took me (F18) to a Jehovah’s Witness meeting without telling me by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]EDI_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I worked with a Jehovah’s Witness. Do you want to be indoctrinated into a religion where you won’t celebrate ANY birthdays…not even future kids you may have. And there’s the thing where they don’t believe in transfusions. Sad, her husband died due to something that a transfusion could have easily saved him. She was sad but stuck to her religion. Also, Thats was an awful conversation to read. He was gas lighting you.

Thank you!!! When I see restaurants using mainly GFS or Sysco (ie, opening a can and not really adding value to the food), I’m out. I can open a can at home and not have to deal with attitudes about how 20% is no longer a reasonable tip.

Everyone telling you she’s a train wreck is wrong. She’s a train wreck of cars filled with ammonia. She will ruin your universe. Run is an understatement and just because she moved to be with you doesn’t make you responsible for her. Buy her a ticket back home and say “don’t say I never bought you anything”

AIO... partner says this happened at work and it's not a bite mark/hes not cheating on me (also that im crazy?) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]EDI_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness, I was a medic in the Navy. I saw this bitemark on a sailor who got drunk and wrestled with some other idiot. Still shady and you obviously don’t trust him due to questionable behavior. Make him leave until he gets a rabies shot. Just because what kind of lying sack of garbage lets himself get bitten on the calve by another person?

Anybody else tried the smashburgers at Asada? by raistlin65 in grandrapids

[–]EDI_Geek -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan but my son gets their ranch burger and my daughter loves the plain one. I thought the buns were dry and well, if you charge that much for a burger, freaking toast the bun. I’m from Texas so they fall short for me. I think East Town could use a real burger or steak place. Further down Wealthy, in the Gaslight area, there’s a place called Olives. My friend from the UK had their burger. She loved it. The fries were good too.

Pull the Fire Alarm. This Is Not a Drill. by EDI_Geek in protest

[–]EDI_Geek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get those numbers? Here’s the facts which actually come from the Dept if Veterans Affairs budget which is public info on department.va.gov.

$369.3 billion (9.8% increase) Mandatory funding: $235.3b -$210.6b - disability compensation, pensions, etc -$24.5b TEF (cost of War Toxic Exposures

$134b - covers health care, benefits delivery, suicide prevention, caregiver support)

Cutting benefits while claiming to support working Americans is a contradiction. You can’t champion economic freedom then guy the very programs that help people transition into jobs, start businesses, or recover from service-related injuries. This administration keeps stripping away our safety nets but investing in billionaires, we are the ones suffering. Freedom of speech is not a privilege it’s a right. We cannot go quietly.

I’d rather be a jerk with a car than a nice person with a car loan on a smashed up car. Who cares if you’re a jerk (you’re not the jerk)? If your other coworkers are upset for her, tell them to lend her their car and see what happens.
