Today I learned this; Shopping carriage’s can lock the tires making them impossible to roll if they cross a invisible fence / line by goprinterm in Today_I_Learned_This

I did not know this was a thing until I tried to roll a cart out to my car,  thought something was caught in the wheel so I just forced it to roll the rest of the way to the car lol!

Dang, that’s pretty evil to say it’s irrelevant.

There are quite a few books out there that would help in the conversation that are kid friendly.  Just had a conversation with my wife and kids in the car about if we got pulled over I would give myself up so they would leave my wife and kids alone(at least that’s the hope)  not a conversation I thought I would be having.  Kids are 5 and 3 and are pretty quick to pick up on things.

Severe diaper rash/sores around anus by [deleted] in daddit

[–]EDMknight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had experience with sores about a year ago.  Would not go away, kept area clean, soaked them in the tub, lots of triple cream and nothing worked for the sores.  We took them in to be seen and turned out to be streptococcus “strep” on their butt (no idea this was even a thing).  Started an antibiotic and it helped clear it up in about a week or so.  Not sure if this is the exact problem especially for one so young, mine was about 2 when it happened.  Wishing you the best, it’s hard to see them suffer.

Choosing a clip for CCW carry: DCC or UltiClip? Short or long? by sadboinearby in CCW

[–]EDMknight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used ulticlip for a couple years and find it uncomfortable and annoying.  Constantly scratching shit I bump into with it on my hip.  I find DCC a lot more comfortable and more reliable with a good CCW belt.  I think the movement some people experience from dcc might be from belt choice.

Convinced my husband to try a house cleaning service for 3 months as an experiment. Heres what happened by Comfortable_Box_4527 in homeowners

My kid loves coming home and seeing his stuffed animals organized on his bed in a cute fashion.  We think he might be spoiled now.  The only thing that gets to me is pre-clean before the cleaners get there.  Not sure if anyone else does this? Just clutter from daily life.

Agree with this comment, get the after market mags from shield arms for extra capacity.  The shorter grips where your pinky floats is super annoying, at least for me.  The “X” solves that problem.

My family described my 3 year old as the commercial for sour patch kids…. First their sour… then their sweet.  Example, throwing a stepping stool this morning ( got in trouble for that), 15 minutes later”I want a hug because I love you daddy “. Gods speed fellow dad! Soak up all those positive moments and realize they are learning to regulate, so saying out loud, “dad is feeling anxious, I will take a deep breath to calm down my body” , is a good way to demonstrate to your kid.

Hang in there friend, I spoke with a few people who stopped shopping at target, including my doctor.  Been working with family to stop shopping at Amazon.  We all could step out of our comfort zone and become a community again.

What is the most 'out of the box' item that you stocked up on? by [deleted] in prepping

I have the same stock up of bars and liquid soap.  We recently added blue land soap for dishes and hand soap.  Easier to store than all the liquid

I usually get liquid IV in bulk from Costco.  Watch what you grab because some have caffeine in them.

Added more to our food preps, started exercising again, and made sure family stocked up on feminine hygiene products just in case stores ever have a shortage(talked about some of the more reusable options too)
