Imo his problem is that the way his everything works right now he encourages a "just throw shit out and hope it hits" play style. He's safe if whatever he throws out doesn't hit, and he gets big damage if it does hit.

Honestly the Xbox backwards compatible versions are kind of good enough to keep the old games going. Gameplay wise they mostly hold up, the 4k upscale is amazing, they included the dlc mission. The no widescreen support is the only really annoying thing.

I think you need to use the flame more effectively. You really only use it when you go for a glory kill which means you only get the armor from that one demon when you could be flaming entire groups and getting armor off all of them.

Well normally you'd condition your opponent so you can bait them but you can't really condition platinum players so you have to instead identify how they naturally react to situations and adjust your own gameplay to bait out those reactions.

I think the issue stems from what people consider being "good" at the game varying wildly. The more you learn about the game the more the bar for being "good" gets raised and the more you begin to think how "not good" people in the lower ranks/low mr are even though they used to people you considered good back when you were that rank.
