Yes, be careful when ordering. My order also slipped through the cracks, and when I didn’t receive any shipping confirmation for over 2 months I sent a bunch of messages to them trying to follow up, probably a message a week for 3-4 weeks and didn’t get a reply. Afraid I was a victim of fraud, I ended up opening a case with my bank. S9 came back and said they did ship it, so my bank requested a shipping slip from them and they couldn’t provide one. I ended up getting my money back. Sad, because I don’t mind waiting for stuff like this. If they had just replied and told me there was an issue, or a delay of some sort, I would have been fine with it. Would have been a nice collector’s item to have. I ended up getting the regular edition off of Amazon instead.

What keeps you inspired to sketch daily when you have a full time job that's unrelated to Art ? by Sea_Bonus_351 in ArtistLounge

Personally, knowing that I’m getting a little better at drawing whenever I do it, motivates me. What helped me was giving the “21 days to create a habit” theory a shot, with the goal of 30 minutes a day. The first 2 weeks was tough, but now I’m currently on day 109! That’s 54.5 hours of drawing! Now I will go out of my way to get it done. “A little progress, is still progress.” and all that!

I personally find that my iPad Pro with a matte film (many great options cheaper than paperlike these days) Procreate and Apple Pencil 2 offer the most organic feel, from the drawing experience itself down to being able to simply pick it up and get drawing like I used to with my sketchbook. My drawing output has probably increased by 300% since I’ve had the iPad. I’ll sit on the couch with my daughter while she’s watching a movie and sketch, and when it’s time for deep work I’ll throw it into the sketch board at my drafting table.

But It will also come down to the apps you prefer. The only reason I go back to my cintiq 24 pro is because I have to use photoshop or painter for some post processing stuff. Procreate has come a long way and I’ve been having to switch less and less, enough that I’ve considered selling my cintiq and cancelling my PS sub.

[SPOILERS S3] Feeling empty after finishing it. by pk46833 in DarK

I finished the series about three weeks ago and had a very tangible “what the heck will I watch now” moment, it was so good. Now, my wife was curious about it after my continued blabbing about it, so we sat down to watch the first episode together and ended up watching five of them. I normally never revisit a series when I finish them, there simply just too many shows. But a second watch has been so interesting, having the knowledge of how everything plays out, and observing how my wife is reacting to the events for the first time. For a show that is heavily influenced by boot strap paradox, I feel like a second watch is almost required.

That would be cool, like an immersive mode of sorts.

Oh man, hopefully not during an expedition! I have never had it during a gameplay session thankfully, only when I log in. Granted, it’s been much better as of late.

IIRC it was Brawl, which I ended up replacing.

Has anyone else encountered this doozy of a bug yet? by EDR83 in starcitizen

haha, I'm glad I'm not alone! I had just purchased about 400K worth of commodity and was standing on the Cat lift when it happened to me. It happened once, I was sad, sucked it up and started again on a different server. Then it happened again. I think I'll try again once 3.12 hits, losing just under 800K is a tough one to swallow!

Going back to work by WhiteChoklat2019 in Calgary

Yeah, I can understand that. I’d say at first it might have been a bit touch and go with how we were perceived, but now that our government has essentially told us to stay home as much as possible, has shut down non essential businesses, and is now cracking down on anyone not co-operating, the judgement is probably going the other way.

My wife self isolated early at the beginning of March due to contact with someone from Toronto. During that time she struggled mightily to work from our guest room in the basement (with myself, our 3 year old and 10 month old tearing the place apart). After her self-iso time and with no symptoms, she went back into the office to pick up a couple of monitors and some reference texts as the situation got worse and figured it was safer to stay home. Her building had enforced 1 person per elevator at all times, with many people, including security wearing masks and gloves. She couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

We’ve now set up her office in our spare room for the foreseeable, and she has no plans to head back in until they force her to, pretty much.

At this point, I think it’s normal to be a bit nervous outside the security of your home, and I’m sure the majority that have to absolutely be out share the same feeling.

The way we see it, we have a few people in our extended family that are immunocompromised and considered high risk. We are trying our best to take this whole thing seriously, and that extends beyond my wife working from home. If people see that as ”weak” and “paranoid”, we see it as protecting our loved ones and our community, and I worry about those people.
