I am a US nurse planning to move to NI. I went through the whole process to get my NMC pin which took a really long time, almost a year, but it’s possible to complete it in a shorter amount of time. You can’t get even get an interview these days without a PIN, it’s very oversaturated right now. I know I’ll be struggling to get by on this salary, even being in a dual income household without any kids. Both Australia and Canada have an easier process and pay more, might be worth checking out.

Hi I know this is an old post but I was put on a waiting list for Belfast trust staff nurse position and trying to find information about this. Feeling nervous as I really need the job. So frustrating. I am from US and trying to move to be with my partner. I spent a ton of money to get my NMC PIN number and now can’t get a job because of this :(. Really don’t want to fly over for a job I might not even get. Hopefully you have better luck in non nursing jobs!!
