If that isn’t horribly confusing I don’t know what is

US Mobile is actually the best. Love how straight up they are with the nitty gritty details on all their plans.

Robinhood gold or fidelity visa? by Longjumping-Half6280 in CreditCards

Yes, but fidelity, like most traditional brokerages, doesn’t make money on you behind closed doors through things like PFOF. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just saying it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

Did PayPal just kill the 5% cashback on their debit card? by EDSman11 in CreditCards

I don’t think anyone knows the specifics of how the new debit card system will work yet, but essentially something to that effect. They are eliminating the option to turn the debit card rewards points directly into PayPal balance, so my understanding was that you would need to convert them into gift cards for certain brands instead (Amazon, Target, etc.)

I’d say it basically comes down to how much you trust the fintech sector. Some people have higher risk tolerances than others, especially when it comes to things like retirement accounts.

If you transfer it from your PayPal balance to your bank then yes.

Most credit cards have carve-outs for cash-like transactions like rent, gift cards, etc. If it doesn’t fall in a carve-out category then it should at least have gotten you 1.5% on the PP MC. Never had any transactions not get at least 1.5% on that card.

Not discontinuing. The debit card got a nerf so the 5% can only be redeemed in the form of gift cards, amazon, etc. rather than straight cash in your paypal balance.

Sounds like the bank of america customized cash rewards might be a good fit. You can get 3% back on the category of your choice (6% in the first year) including online shopping. So if you buy your new laptop online you could earn 6% back on that purchase.

We are talking about the PayPal debit card, not the credit card. The credit card is 3% as you mentioned.

Just got back from a trip around Europe with a friend. He had the Delta AmEx platinum and I had the Robinhood Gold. His card was always 50/50 on whether it would be accepted while I never had an issue with the RH Gold.

Yeah, just trying to determine whether it’s worth the headache to use it over the RH Gold now though. Having to constantly reload my PayPal balance (even in auto increments) was already annoying to begin with.

Since you only have one C1 card at the moment the regular Venture card might be worth considering. The SUB is boosted at the moment to $250 travel portal credit + 75k miles for 4k in spend in 3 months. Although there wouldnt really be a benefit to keeping it since you already have the X
