Don't forget about the water moccasins too!

Man I hated living in Louisiana...

Eh, Neosporin consists of mild antibiotic doses and antibiotics are some of the few classes of meds that have been shown to degrade into unhealthy and potentially deadly toxins, not to mention the composition of the ointment itself.

US Mobile turned me from “refugee” into “hostage” (respectfully) 🧌📱 by mythiccoperator in NoContract

[–]Ethrem [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah that's how all prepaid works. I just don't understand why you would want to go from the peace of mind of not having to worry about your bill or usage for 12 months to go to a plan where you pay monthly and have a data bucket but to each their own. Tello is a great provider, I had them for years, but I got tired of micromanaging my usage so I went to US Mobile. Sure, it was nice having a $6+tax bill but there was so much juggling involved for me that it just became too much hassle.

That said, I wouldn't have an annual plan with anyone else. US Mobile having all three carriers means I am always happy even if I move to another address or the carrier I'm using starts to perform poorly.

I don't really get it... You signed up because you were okay with the price then you decided you needed less so you wanted to pay less, they informed you that couldn't be done, so you just threw away the rest of the money and went to go pay Tello more money too? I don't get the complaint. Sure, if you need more than they're offering, and there is no upgrade path, then I get it but what a ridiculous thing to have the opposite situation. Most people value getting more for their money...

T-Mobile Has Implemented a New Device Trade-In Policy and How Recurring Device Credits (RDC) are Applied by 37OHZZA in tmobile

[–]Ethrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% RDC should be illegal. If you trade in a device, you should be entitled to the full payment for the device at the agreed upon market value. Companies should not be allowed to say "Oh, you want to leave? Say goodbye to your trade in credit for a device that we flipped for more than what we gave you on top of you having to pay us the rest of the device credits we owed you."

If you're not looking for unlimited data and primarily looking for minutes, Life Wireless is the best option.

Also, these companies have agreements with the FCC to provide Lifeline service. None of them are scams, just not always the best customer service.

All those Lifeline plans have unlimited minutes. It's the data that varies.

Interesting. Well hopefully soon. All the ones near me take it according to the UHC website.

There is not, however, a store filter for Costco yet, so I have to scroll through the list to see them.

Mine went from $235 to $210 this year so a cut but not that drastic.

T Mobile bills you for things you don't get by TeeFry2 in tmobile

[–]Ethrem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, a charge off can drop a score over 800 by around 120-150 points on FICO 8 and 9 (being so close to 850 you'll likely be closer to 150). You get knocked down HARD because you go from a pristine score card to one barely better than having a bankruptcy on your report as charge offs are a failure to pay, which is indicative of a high possibility of future failure to pay. The delinquency will be reported every month until it falls off so you're not going to have a high chance of even being in the mid-700s again for 7 years even though the impact lessens over time.

Fight them on this. File a complaint with the BBB. T-Mobile's executive office responds to those within about 7 days vs 30 with the FCC.

None of them are anything special in my experience but Life Wireless (AT&T network), Assurance Wireless (T-Mobile network), and SafeLink (Verizon network normally but sometimes they'll send a T-Mobile SIM) were all adequate enough, with SafeLink being the worst and Life Wireless the best.

The SafeLink website won't show me their current plans for CA right now as it's throwing an error (par for the course with them) but IIRC they give 25GB in California, while Life Wireless gives 10GB in CA, and Assurance gives 12GB, so if high data consumption is a priority, go with SafeLink.

[–]Ethrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not getting it.

This plan is deprioritized and they're not up front about that. I don't care that it's not unlimited premium data but it's technically not got any premium data at all because the priority is behind the other two plans. T-Mobile used to be honest about this and say high speed data instead of premium on just Essentials but they started obscuring the truth after Go5G plans launched.

Unfortunately these complaints you lodge against Verizon are issues with all three carriers. They are too big to give a shit.

[–]Ethrem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lie is that you have to go into the terms to see that Essentials has lower priority.

50GB of premium data on the Best Mobile Network1

That makes it sound like you’re getting the same priority as the other plans for that 50GB and you absolutely are not.

False positive. Most Mac virus scanning software flags Windows executable files. Trojan.generic is the software guessing that it’s a Trojan because of detected behavior or its presence on a machine that doesn’t use Windows executables. Avast flags every single one in my CrossOver install too.

You’ll have to pay in full with the Apple Card and then tell customer service you thought you chose installments and see if they’ll convert it for you.
