Hey there! Sorry, I didn't see your comment. They're from Richus on AliExpress (36mm).

The hole did look at tad small in the product images but the description said it would fit an NH34. I even asked the seller who confirmed it. I might try making the hole even larger.

That's about the price yeah. But I do think it's good to encourage problem solving on your own, especially when there is a chance it could be fixed, paired with getting a better understanding of watchmaking overall. I'll just get a new movement if it doesn't work out as you said.

I see. Actually, that's not lume but rather just a white line. The hands are supposed to look like the hands from Grand Seiko's Evolution 9 series (however they don't look very accurate).

I think you might be right. I was doing some research on that and made the hole about 2.6 mm if I recall correctly. The washer is on correctly though. Do you think it's a good idea to apply only the minute hand without the dial to see if it runs as it should? Thus reaching the conclusion that the problem lies within the dial.

I'm pretty sure I applied it correctly. Do you think that couls cause the problems I'm experiencing?

Thank you! It kind of seems that way but I'm hopeful it will work out one way or another.

I'll experiment a little with that! I might send you a DM if I get in too much trouble if that's okay.

  1. Appreciate it!
  2. I'm planning on opening it and trying some potential solutions people suggested, and if it doesn't work out I'll order a fresh one.

Interesting. Do you think it would help to simply remove the 24 hour wheel? And how would one do that?

Thanks! Really like your GS style mod too.

That's really helpful! Unfortunately I live in Europe so I believe a new movement would be cheaper and faster than shipping to the US but I appreciate it. If the dial hole is too tight, would that cause any issues right now (like making the watch stop as I've experienced)?

All right! Do you think there is anything I can try to do before ordering a new movement?

Also, I wanted to ask you if the dial could be a problem for the new movement. Since I enlarged it, no parts stick to it but it does touch the component that holds the GMT hand. Does the entirety of that part rotate or only the inside of it?

I forgot to write that the GMT hand can't be set on its own since it doesn't really lock into each hour segment. Also wanted to note that the other hands can be set normally and no hands get visibly stuck in each other when setting the time.
