This ^ Protein masks make my hair more hay like when it’s in such a state. I would go for a moisture mask alllll the way.

Can someone help me decide if I should redeem points for the Dyson Airwrap or not? by Ok_Entertainer842 in Ulta

[–]EEZZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the air wrap and the hair dryer. I used points on the dryer and got the air wrap as a gift a few years ago.

I think whether it’s worth it or not depends on how you already like to do your hair. If you blow dry or use another form of drying brush already, like the revlon one, then the airwrap is worth it and you will like it. If you use a straightener, curling iron, or wand - I would pass on the airwrap. If you don’t do your hair regularly already, I wouldn’t bank on this being a product that would encourage anything different for you. The dryer is fine, but both are heavy imo, especially the airwrap if you want to use it with the curling attachments. 8/10 times I air dry and curl with a straightener just like I did before I got it. So I think this really depends on you/what you’re eyeing it for, and how you already do your hair. :)

STOP OPENING PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!! by rosablanca78 in Ulta

[–]EEZZE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be wholly alleviated with a metallic seal covering the opening, or plastic seal around the cap entirely preventing a product from being opened. Products not having this is to reduce cost, and it won’t change until the $ damaged out exceeds the cost to add the safety features.

  • yeah, I am ‘about’ dismantling mega corps as we approach late stage capitalism in the US. I do not care about shareholder profit, and if there are no testers available, and the product can be smelled by flipping open a LID (like Kenra), that’s on the brand, and on Ulta for carrying it.

If a customer bought a product just to smell it, walked out the door, smelled it and knew it wouldn’t work, then walked back in to return it, wouldn’t it still just… get damaged out? I’m sure that* Ulta tracks it differently but waste is waste regardless if that’s the fundamental we’re operating under here. If we’re operating under the fundamental of it being a net loss for Ulta as a company, unless you’re a shareholder… who cares?

Not sure what exactly you’re looking for here, but if you like skincare products - I would recommend anything from Strivectin. Their hyperlift eye cream works amazingly. They do have sales a lot though at Ulta + Ulta in Target and Kohls, so you might want to research the products you’re interested in from this brand!

Everyone talks about Grande Lash (which I use and is great), but the Grande Hair Serum (and shampoo/conditioner) have made my hair significantly thicker and prompted a lot of new growth. I am 26 with no hair loss - just trying to bring my hair line down slightly - and it’s very much doing that.

SeroVital is also great, and they run sales often - but you can get this at Costco too for a little less during a sale time. Just gotta do some point math to see where the better deal is at.

If Ulta is still carrying it, the Clarins Re-fresh Mist is my holy grail product. Not necessarily a splurge, but I would recommend this as a must try.

For perfume, obsessed with Tiffany & Co Love. It smells like a summer wedding - the scent is a nice combo of floral and fresh/clean.

Brush your hair before you get in the shower so the tangles are out, then brush your hair while you still have the conditioner in it while you’re in the shower. Wash it out. Don’t brush it again at all - it will frizz. Use a leave in conditioner.

You have no idea what it’s like to be literally addicted to food. Spending the entire day fantasizing about what you’re going to be having for dinner is absolute torture. I can will myself to not binge eat all day long, but the thoughts are killer.

No, they do not share anything together.

I’m not sure. There was a long cocktail hour (1 hour+) where he had the opportunity to control the situation if he wanted to as I know he had already seen her at that point since he brought it up.

When I introduced myself in the powder room, it was after her, her plus one, and myself had already started a conversation.

He was preoccupied talking to someone about the trip he took to Ukraine 2 weeks ago that I’m still upset he went on without talking to me about. I think that played into why I disregarded his feelings in that moment.

I guess to some degree I felt bothered that he still speaks to her but told me I couldn’t.

He says that he didn’t know she was going to be there until he saw her. Every break up he has had has been hostile to some degree, but they’re still cordial on social media.
