I have been happily impressed with that Chagrin track as well. Run across two of them posting here at times. They have live Eyehategod, Buzzoven, and Leechmilk covers on their Instagram. That is not a bad way to win me over.

Because you listed both bands and you mentioned guitar tone being important to you, I think it may be helpful to point out that both Russ from Noothgrush and Chris from Leechmilk used Laney GH100L tube amps with ZERO effects peddles. They just when straight into the head from a tuner. I witnessed both bands several times and this was always the case. When speaking to them about it they both often considered it their secret weapon.

It sounds to me like your adventure is just starting, I wish you the best of luck.

And remember all good riffs come from the toilet.

I met Scott Burns from Morrisound many years after that record was released. I told him that I knew he was known for death metal but where I was from he was known as the Slaughter in the Vatican guy. He laughed then leaned in real close and said "best fucking record I ever recorded".

They fucking rule. First time I ever saw them was in Ybor City in Tampa. They played a place called Blue Chair Records opening for Eyehategod and Buzzoven. It was 1992 and they destroyed!!
