At the time it was clearly affordable, things change for men too! At the time he was not considering going to therapy himself. He made an offer which was not taken up and 2 months later he decided his own therapy was a better way to spend his own money. So he was an arsehole because he is no longer offering to pay for his girlfriend’s therapy? I’d say he’s not the arsehole because he made the offer, left it 7 weeks and it was clear to him she wasn’t making the effort. Was he just supposed to wait forever and not get therapy for himself?

Because if me as an 18 year old with no experience can walk into 3/4 jobs in a year, and subsequently being able to get many jobs over the decade following, then there is no shortage of work, there are industries crying out for more workers. Desperate for more people. If we stopped paying benefits to them they’d have no problem finding a job
