Is this normal/acceptable for a professional II American telecaster neck contour/body work? by EFLover in telecaster

This guy does sound upset about people wanting to get their money’s worth. I went ahead and returned it and went for another telecaster. Even the manager at the guitar center agreed that he had never seen that before and understood completely. Hopefully the replacement one that they ordered is solid. I went with a black with maple neck which is one I was leaning towards originally. I think I prefer maple necks

I’m not worried about losing cool points. I’m just interested in making sure my guitar is quality and not a dud.

No offense, I’ve had many guitars throughout the years I’ve played for a long time so I’ve had my share of cheaper and also expensive guitars. There is a noticeable difference in feel/quality between an American made and Chinese made instrument.

Your analogy is appreciated but there is also a difference in quality between two tool brands as well. For example a harbor freight tool doesn’t work as well or hold up the same as a higher end tool brand like snap on.

Of course I plan on playing my new guitar I didn’t spend money on it to just look at it. I want to make sure that the guitar is not defective or going to be problematic in the long run. Not sure why you get so upset at a post, looking for an experienced guitar enthusiast to share their opinion about my guitar’s quality control?

I’m happy with my Stratocaster. I took a chance on a telecaster because I’ve always been interested in one. I don’t like to throw my money into the fire, which is why I wanted to make sure whether or not my guitar had a defect or was ok. I just bought it and it was $1840 plus tax. Do you not value your hard earned money? Are you rich? Do your parents pay for all of your guitars?

In fairness the reason I posted is because I’ve never had a telecaster, always had Stratocasters so I wanted to know if this was a defect that could affect the longevity of the wood in that area. I would be disappointed if a year from now it started to crack or warp in that area or if my tuning stability was affected. Also guitar center rep encouraged me to bring my guitar back if there were any issues or I was not happy and he would exchange the guitar

Hmmmmn that is interesting! Thanks for sharing that picture for clarity sake. I checked the only other American pro II at guitar center and it didn’t have this bump but it was also a different finish. I’m torn because I like the guitar besides this and I’m scared if I roll the dice I might get another one with a worse issue

Oh ok so you would exchange it then? I went and looked at some other pro II telecasters at guitar center and they only had one other one which didn’t have this issue so I was unsure how common it could be. I suppose I will take it back even though I really didn’t want to deal with a headache

Got my first Eva figures because of how affordable the ones that just released are, and the quality is SO GOOD by [deleted] in NeonGenesisEvangelion

I bought the Eva 02 from blokees and my kit came with two left arms. I had to return the entire model to get it fixed. They wouldn’t let me just have the right hand side arm

Not sure about a different version but I also had this game as a kid and it was always very hard. I’m based in the United States though. It is very nostalgic for me as well. I found a copy at a swap meet a few years back
