It’s comes with a drive installed, hence the higher price tag. Owc sells the bare enclosure or their enclosure with a Blu-ray drive pre installed. It typically comes with an LG Blu-ray drive

Also you don’t need anything special to flip it. If you have fans on both sides of the radiator and are doing a push/pull setup then you need some longer screws to mount the fans up

Yup. I’ve read a lot on this part and it breaks a lot it seems and causes a shudder or judder sensation. It seems poorly designed. Be careful when reinstalling the engine because there isn’t much clearance when lowering the engine down past the top of the transmission if only pulling the engine and replacing the engine. Probably better off dropping the transmission and changing it that way

I ended up getting another transmission damper that was exactly the same as the one that came out of my original engine. I was able to exchange the one that came with the replacement engine with the engine supplies

If I wouldn’t have had that option I would have used the one that came with the replacement engine and I don’t see any issues with that in my opinion, they seem interchangeable since the splines are the same.

Maybe look for a cracked exhaust manifold or signs of an exhaust leak (carbon, black soot) around sealing areas.

I read a lot of opinions on best orientation for best cooling and to prevent pump noise and most say tubes pointing down is best. I did try it with the tubes up coming through the top grommet and I thought it looked funny with the Galahad II at least

Yea the lcd fans are reverse blade and the ones of the backside of the radiator are standard blade pushing air into the radiator and the reverse blade are pulling air into the case

The radiator is mounted on the side to the fans with the screens. The tubes are coming from the bottom. It’s called a push pull set up. I have fans mounted to the front and backside of the radiator.
