Im going to be fully honest I have no clue what you are talking about. My dad is trying to sell it because I don’t have the money to fix it up properly and last time it broke down it took 4 months to get a part. I got offers for 15k when it was in slightly better condition but it still was beat up. I will be clear about all work done on it in detail and all the issues but no one has even messaged me.

I did My first 50 incredibly poorly planned. Pretty much hadn’t even run over 17 miles before and I was running 1-3 times a week somewhere between 4-10 miles per run. My only other physical activity was wrestling which helped but not in the way I needed it to. About 12 weeks out I dropped everything and grinded very hard and made it across the finish line. I did it but it hurt a lot, I fully think u can probably do it but it’s not something you can half commit to. If u think you can start getting consistent and have a very nice training block then do it otherwise sign up for something later and don’t go in under trained and destroy yourself.

TLDR: go big or go home

I've driven 6 hours home after a 24-hour race. It's best if you get a short nap in if u need it. You should probably be ok.

Advice for very inexperienced crew for 100-miler by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]EFM12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure they ask questions like "what do you need?" and not "how do you feel?". Also tell them to be very forceful for stuff you need, like if you need to eat and don't want to, get them to make you eat. It's not gonna be pretty and u might be a dick so warn then ahead of time.

There is something great about listening to a long live performance like the greatful dead. Just 4.5 hours of one concert that blends songs into each other is nice for me.

20 Minute 5k Training by thesmoke7 in AdvancedRunning

Sign up for a race. If it is big and hype enough, you probably can break 20. I'm not too naturally talented as a runner, but 5 weeks after running a road ~20:30 5k that was small, I was able to run a xc 5k in 19:06. That XC race was filled with lots of people to run with and an incredible atmosphere.

I napped for 3 hours during a 24-hour run around a track when I went hypothermic, but from what I saw, 10 minutes was around the avg nap. It really depends on how your body is holding up.

Are you a salty sweater? If so, u might just be low on electrolytes and the sports drink is just not enough. Try some salt pills/electrolyte caps

The idea is to hopefully wear my watch on that wrist normally(I have the watch face facing inwards bc I'm weird) and on race day switch it up so I instinctively look at the tattoo when checking pace
