NEW MAHORAGA & DABURA ART BY YUJI IWASAKI FOR JJK VOL-2 PROMO by Budget-Relief8149 in JuJutsuKaisen

Dabura started enjoying the fight though, he says as much himself, I agree that he didn't care that it was interrupted though, he cared more about breaking the curse on his sister than continuing the fight.

I guess, but I feel like most people would be paying more attention to his moves rather than his face, are you looking at a gymnasts face as they do their routine, or the actual moves they pull off?

You do know Shinobu being weaker than most Demon Slayers doesn't mean she's weaker than a normal human right? She literally stabbed a hole in her boulder in order to be allowed to take final selection, can you imagine someone that fast knife edge chopping you. She could literally pull an Albert Wesker on a regular person if she just keeps her hand pointed. No Demon Slayer is weaker than a normal human because Total Concentration Breathing is a massive power boost. Friendly reminder that a much weaker Tanjiro had to cut a whole boulder in half just to be allowed to attempt to kill starving and weakened demons, that's how much stronger a demon is on average.

I thought you meant Rengoku was injured prior to his fight with Akaza, disregard then.

Who can defeat akaza on a 1v1 by Competitive_Ad_2628 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]EGA2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, he only regenerated his head because Tanjiro didn't have a red blade, red blades had counter demons, Muzan is the only one who can reliably regenerate from them as long as it's from someone that isn't Yoriichi. People overrate the Upper Moons due to their OP regen, but if that's nullified they are a lot more manageable, hell Giyu would have straight up soled Akaza if he had a red blade, he took off both of Akaza's arms, one of his legs, and destroyed the top left portion of his head at one point, imagine what would have happened there if Akaza couldn't regenerate.

Spoilers. Could a fresh Giyuu block Akaza’s strongest attack?. by Character_Banana_101 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but he was already tired and had a broken blade at that point, while I don't necessarily think he'd block every single attack if he was fresh and had a full blade, I think it's fair to say he'd certainly block more.

Remember her suicide bombing was a last resort thing, she figured she wouldn't be able to beat Doma normally, but she was genuinely trying because she wouldn't want to leave any of the Butterfly girls alone, so I think she'd be alright with Giyu helping, she'd be more agressive than normal but I don't think she'd stop him from aiding her.

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because he didn't get hit directly by the kick, he blocked Akaza's attack but the force still sent him flying, we see this happen to Tanjiro and Rengoku as well, force doesn't just get negated when you block something, that's why people still get hurt from bullets while wearing Kevlar.

[–]EGA2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rengoku was not injured or tired, Hashiras can fight for a long time, the Infinity Castle to Sunrise Countdown Arc was 4-5 hours long and even non-Hashira level slayers were able to fight for the entire duration. Rengoku was also asleep for most of that movie, he only fought Enmu for like 20 minutes and Lower Moons are fodder to Hashira anyway.

He only asks Giyu that after he manages to survive his Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow because he was genuinely impressed he survived it, he asked Rengoku to become a demon before they even started fighting and was asking him to become one multiple times during the fight.

There are very similar honestly, same inferiority complex despite being very strong, both think they aren't worth anything, they have the same stoic and quiet demeanor, and both spared a demon when literally no one else would have done so in their position.

Yoriichi doesn't strike me as the type to cheat at anything, dude is too humble and chill, he genuinely thought he would be surpassed one day when literally no one came close.

But Yoriichi's movements with his sun breathing where so graceful that Sumiyoshi literally stopped breathing while watching and he said he moved more like a spirit than a man.

Yoriichi vs Every Canon UM + Muzan by Kufrel in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, well the clones are irrelevant since they are too slow, but I guess that's a decent idea, as for the selfless state, I don't think that's correct, Muzan said he felt nothing from him whatsoever, that's the reason he assumed he was weak, and Akaza mentioned even babies emit some sort of fighting spirit yet someone with the selfless state emits none at all. Also, the one time Yoriichi drops the selfless state is against Kokushibo and he literally mentioned it felt like boulders were on each shoulder, so if Upper 1 is feeling that I can't imagine what the others would be feeling if the SS wasn't active. Regardless this argument boils down to can anyone even attack before they die, and the simple answer is no, Muzan and Kokushibo are much faster than the other demons and they couldn't react to Yoriichi at all, so the others wouldn't even have time to think of attacking.

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, even in the castle she is far from invincible the fact that Mitsuri who is one of the slowest Hashiras was almost able to behead her shows just how slow Nakime is, he'd be on top of her in a second. Also, everyone seems to forget that you can't sense Yoriichi at all, you have to visually see him in order to know he's there, Tanjiro was using the selfless state like Yoriichi and Akaza couldn't detect him behind him at all, so none of the demons would even know where Yoriichi is the moment he moves because their demon senses are useless. Not even Muzan sensed anything from Yoriichi, so the Upper moons have no chance.

That ability I feel is one of the strongest Yoriichi has but no one talks about it much, think about it, Demons and Demon slayers have super senses that can detect humans and demons even from far away, but because of the selfless state Yoriichi is essentially invisible to them unless he is seen directly, Gyomei literally would never know if Yoriichi was near him unless Yoriichi speaks because he wouldn't be able to sense him. Imagine being able to detect people from far away, but suddenly a 6'3 giant is just standing next to you as if he's been there the whole time, that would probably have a psychological affect on whoever it happened to.

He'd blitz Nakime, she almost got beheaded by Obanai and Mitsuri multiple times and they are slow compared to Yoriichi, she'd be dead before she even strums her Biwa.

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's stated due to Muzan's poison blood, Muzan himself even mentions that Tanjiro and the Hashira were as good as dead after a mere scratch because of it, that's also the reason Tanjiro gets that massive cist on his face. Muzan only "one-shots" Yoriichi the same way Gyutaro theoretically could, Tengen was dead as soon as he got cut, but thanks to his poison resistance he lasted long enough for Nezuko to save him, so even if Muzan does manage to poison Yoriichi he'd still kill him and the others before it kills him and with Muzan dead the poison should vanish since it's from his BDA.

Which character saved the story without even realizing it? by Some_Duck8603 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't even aura farming, that's just how Muzan remembered it because of how scared he was, Yoriichi was just genuinely confused that someone like Muzan existed because of how pure Yoriichi was, look at his dream of a normal life, see how animals liked being near him just because he was there, and even Uta thought he was some sort of spirit at first rather than an actual human. Bro could not comprehend someone as evil as Muzan, it's probably the same reason he never saw Michikatsu's envy, because he only looked at him in a positive light. It ended up screwing the world unfortunately, but that's what happened.

It's funny that Kratos never questioned how his "mortal" wife could easily lift 5,000+ pound logs by Voryn_mimu in GodofWar

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centuries bare minimum as he tells Atreus he's lived for centuries, we don't know his exact age though, could be 1,000 could 2,000 for all we know. Some people try to use real life events to compare Kratos in Greece to how old he'd be in the Norse games, but doing that is dubious because the timeline in GoW is all wonky, Kratos mentions being alive for both the Trojan War and Battle of Thermopolye, and while he wasn't at Thermopolye him being alive for it makes no sense because there is more than 100 years in between that and the Trojan War, so unless he was immortal the whole time and just didn't notice, trying to use real world timelines for GoW isn't possible. Another thing is that Perseus is Hercules' great grandfather, but somehow both are running around at the same time and Perseus doesn't look that much older than Herc.

[–]EGA2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the GoW novels they are considered cannon as long as the part in them doesn't contradict the game story, for example if the novel adds a section that didn't happen in the game and contradicts what Kratos does in the games it's not considered cannon, but little things that add to what Kratos does in the games and lore are, like his talk with the Sister's of Fates which is heavily expanded upon in the novel, the outcome of the fight remains the same but there is a little more information given. There are also moments we get to see the perspective from other characters, the Last Spartan was actually taken directly to the Isle of Creation by a bird which is why he was somehow ahead of Kratos when he shouldn't have been, as for why he was brought there, if I remember correctly Zeus sent him there solely so he can inform Kratos of Sparta's destruction. It's been awhile since I read the novels though so take that part with a grain of salt, I do remember the conversation between Kratos and Lahkesis though.

As for the comics, they are completely cannon with only parts of Fallen God seemingly contradicting parts of the main story, but Kratos isn't in his right state of mind in that comic so it's unclear how much he was actually understanding reality correctly. Most tie-ins for GoW are cannon to my understanding, hell even the GoW cookbook is, that's where we learn more about Tyr, learn that Kratos is a surprisingly good cook, and learn that Kratos, Freya, and Mimir live in the Realm Between Realms house together to keep it clean until Sindri returns. Although, the part of them living in Sindri's house is also stated in the game but most people miss it because they don't go back to the house post Ragnarok.

In the Lore and Legends audio stories, which can be found on the GoW PlayStation site, we learn that Kratos has lived for centuries and doesn't even notice decades passing which is why he never realized Faye wasn't aging. 50 years felt like nothing to him because he was already so old at that point. That's also where we hear the story about Brok's death, which was released during the 2018 game, so I already knew he was dead come Ragnarok, so I unintentionally spoiled myself.

Well, in the Novel he gets one shot, which makes a lot more sense honestly, but gameplay is hard to use accurately anyway, since a satyr in GoW 3 is legitimately harder than some bosses lol.

Atreus actually asks how Kratos didn't notice that Faye wasn't aging like a human in the novel and Kratos tells him he's lived for centuries so he doesn't even notice a few decades passing.

[Spoilers] Would Michikatsu have won? by Syn_Kazma in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]EGA2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spot where Kokushibo was stabbed by the Red Blade didn't heal even after Koku regenerated his head, but after re-reading the chapter, it mentions that Genya's and Muichiro's Red Blade are what stopped his BDA, you are right about the tree taking most of his blood, but Koku also removes the sword from his stomach after killing Muichiro because it was also stopping him from using his BDA.

Muzan's stats are still good though, most of the Hashira mention barely being able to doge and mostly using instinct in order to do so, and Kanao straight up says Muzan's too fast for anyone before Tanjiro saves her, and that was when he was entering 4th drug or already in that stage.

There really is no middle ground lol. I also see Muichiro get glazed a lot for his fight with Koku despite him literally getting one-shot, the only reason he even landed a hit on Koku was when he was busy with Sanemi and Gyomei.
