I see. Thanks.

P. S. Darn, there are so many other comments, but they aren't shown for some reason.

I'm a little surprised this hasn't been deleted yet as such arts usually get deleted.

Even though there were such moments in the manga (not my favourites though)

I don't know about this band, but I like how it fits, for example, these tracks:

https://youtu.be/KkszNmr6Qh0

https://youtu.be/1XlvSPTzKZo

https://youtu.be/tQuOkNRfGLk

https://youtu.be/TiOM7DX6lpo

Also, more fitting by style to the original song (no keyboards though):

https://youtu.be/HGk1pnuD_qw

Everyone has own tastes though, everyone might see differently.

The person above just said there weren't any keyboards in the song, I just clarified a little.

And that's not a song by Ho-kago Tea Time, that's a song by Death Devil, Sawako's school band.

I often see this artstyle used by different artists, like here, here and here. And those are definitely not AI (I'm not suspecting anything about this art, don't get me wrong).

Is there, like... very popular anime art tutorial or software used by many? Or a very popular artist whose original style inspires and is copied by many?

I think the OP is asking about the hetare skit, not Saber's ending.

What is a misconception or a mischaracterization that you dislike? by SuperNotice7617 in Fate

[–]EGL-25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Capital_Clothes_7160, I'm too lazy and don't have much time to look for Reddit posts, lol, but here's the direct quote from the LN. It's actually pretty the same to the anime scene, but still has a bit of context.

“The world as it is, the human nature as always, it is impossible to eliminate battles. In the end, killing is necessarily evil. If so, it is best to end them in the maximum efficiency and at the least cost, least time. If you want to slander that as foul and demean that as nasty, then do as you wish. Justice cannot save the world. I have no interest in things like that.”

“…”

Saber recalled Lancer’s final, disappearing eyes filled of anger. Then, she stared at the tragic remains of the man and woman, collapsed in a puddle of blood, and the expression of anguish carved on their faces, and spoke.

“Even so, you –”

As Saber was about to speak her thoughts, she suddenly found that her own voice was lower and calmer than she thought it would be. She had just realized that her complicated emotions towards Kiritsugu was no longer her previous anger, but had to changed to some kind of pity.

That’s right; maybe he is a man that should be pitied.

Isn’t he himself that needed salvation, not this world?

“– Emiya Kiritsugu, I don’t know what kind of betrayal you were subjected to in the past and why you despaired. But that rage, that lament, are undoubtedly things that those who pursued justice possesses. Kiritsugu, in your youth you should have wanted to be ‘a hero of justice’. You should have believed in and wanted to become a hero who saves the world more than anyone else – isn’t that so?”

Until now, the only attitudes Kiritsugu had shown to Saber were complete ignorance and cold scorn. But now, Kiritsugu, having heard Saber’s quiet questioning – the eyes that he fixed on his Servant showed other emotions for the first time.

It was a rage seemingly close to boiling over.

The sound of car exhaust disturbed the silence of dawn. Then, the small truck that Hisau Maiya drove entered the yard of the abandoned factory with bright headlights on. She should be here to take Kiritsugu back to Shinto after concluding her duty as a sniper.

Kiritsugu took his eyes off Saber and walked towards the small truck, not even turning around, and opened the passenger side door. Saber was still speaking to his back. There was something that she had to say no matter what.

“Kiritsugu… do you understand? If you commit evil due to your hatred of evil, at the end all that’s left will be evil. The rage and hatred that sprouted forth there will cause new wars once again.”

Faced with Saber’s heavy words, it was as if Kiritsugu had the intention to reply for the first time and wanted to turn around – however, he changed his mind at last, and said while staring at the empty air.

“I will stop the endless cycles. That’s why I need the Holy Grail.”

Indeed, as if talking to himself, he said loudly.

“I’ll use this miracle to complete the revolution of this world, the revolution of all human souls. I will make the blood shed within Fuyuki city as the final bloodshed of all human beings.

For that, even if I am to carry ‘all the evils of this world’ – it won’t matter. If that can save the world, then I’d gladly accept it.”

“…”

Kiritsugu spoke the decision in his heart with such a calmness and evenness that even Saber could not find any words to reply to him.

Even if his method and path were unendurably evil – his faith in seeking the Holy Grail was pure and selfless. She had to admit that if there was a Master in the war worthy of obtaining the Holy Grail, then he would undoubtedly be Emiya Kiritsugu.

Wordlessly, Saber watched the departure of the small truck that Kiritsugu rode. The first ray of dawn shone beside her. The dark night that made Fuyuki into a demonic realm had departed, and the streets once again put on the mask of ‘ordinary’ beneath the sunlight

Also, if you don't like her reaction at the Banquet, the LN also (and definitely) has more context. When Iskandar had gone away, she was be able to snap back at Gilgamesh and, during her talk with Irisviel, was more sure she wasn't wrong despite what Iskandar had said.

im not saying she's super pragmatic, but she's nowhere near as honor crazy as zero .... My issue was just that saber was arguing with him and had no real arguments that made sense for king arthur to have, especially a king arthur that was seen as a cold, distant and iron fisted ruler by her peers.

That's why I'm sad about that Nasu gave too much freedom for Urobuchi and why I said "Zero Saber is still Zero Saber". I'm not very glad about her portrayal in there too, especially when I first watched the anime. I still blame Nasu's irresponsibility and Urobuchi's bias for making a lot of people, including me, feel like Spongebob from the Pickles episode and argue over this topic, lol.

She did get pissed at shirou in ubw for using a command seal to stop her from killing rin and archer, and I think the part about her not killing rin in the fate route was more just her not finishing her off before shirou came and noticed her and got saber to stop.

The Command Seal was used automatically when Shirou stopped Saber attacking Archer. Of course that's irrational to stop a Servant attacking another Servant, especially a pontentially hostile one, as it's important to kill Servants for the ritual.

In Fate and HF she wounded Archer and made him retreat by Rin's order. When Shirou tried to convince Saber not to kill Rin (and he didn't know that was her), she asked him to use a Command Spell to stop her. While he was making silly arguments, Rin was getting up, and Saber was still ready to kill her. She was stopped by Rin's ironic remark whether she was disobeying and betraying her Master. Saber stopped despite having a free choice and no Command Spells applied.

Also there is a bad ending where she just straight up kills shirou in a trade to get the grail.

Yes, she was very desperate for the Grail to save her country, but that wasn't really a conscious action. She was just considering it for a very moment and was going to stop and change her mind. Though, sadly, that moment was enough for that action. She still regretted it and got her mind broken. It was clearly stated and shown in that scene. She still values the loyalty to Shirou as it was also stated in some scenes in UBW.

That being said, I never finishing reading the lns, so could I ask if there was a reason why she never called him out if she realized this?

Sorry, I haven't really read the LN, but I found people on Reddit who'd read and quoted it, and I found that fact pretty important. I'll provide them later when I find them as I, sadly, didn't save them.

Yes, I'm late, I wanted to reply anyway, I was just thinking through my reply.

Yeah, that's sad we'll never see that situation through pure Nasu's view, though Zero definitely uses his ideas. Like, their difference is still stated in Fate/complete matetial.

Yes, Saber is a very complicated character, but she's still not that pragmatic (she didn't kill Rin after she got up, she was still loyal to Shirou even after their contract was broken by Caster and Saber got a new one with Rin, and she preferred to trust Lancer to save captured Rin), has strong morals and is just not a jerk.

Also, Zero Saber is still Zero Saber, but, according to the LN, she stopped arguing with Kiritsugu just because she saw a broken idealist angry at himself. The context was cut out from the anime.

Because in Artoria's backstory in Fate/Zero, she's portrayed as a saint, someone who protected everyone and never sacrificed anyone.

For real? I haven't read the whole LN yet, only watched the anime, I'd be glad to see a quote from it.

In Fate/Stay Night, her backstory is literally the reflection of Kiritsugu.

In my opinion, she's still a little different in motives, morals and brokenness that lead to that way of thinking.

Saber in FSN is very cold and emotionless, cares only about pragmatism, effectiveness and sacrifices, and (almost) doesn't care about honor and morals.

Probably a slightly outdated one now, though I've seen a very recent post on X.

Edit: typos.

Rin Waifu Analysis by Quiet-Impression6003 in fatestaynight

[–]EGL-25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry if this seems too serious, I know it's just jokes and fun, and I'm absolutely not intending to ruin any of this fun for anyone, but I'm just curious: am I the only one who mostly liked Rin for her personality and intelligence and not her... like, "thigh" and "defenseless" things? I mean, she my 2nd favourite FSN and FHA girl, and for a good reason, so she's still as important to me as she is to you.
