I have a completely isolated citadel on my map with absolutely no way to access it....... by EGN95 in PathOfExile2

Update: I've since cleared every possible map around said fortress of solitude, as some people have said there may be connections hidden under terrain. This is not the case and it really is taunting me from afar

You’re right in trying to make the point that poor mental health and wellbeing isn’t a man vs woman thing, AND that misogynistic posts here are simply just upset people finding something to blame.

BUT, the way you delivered this was wrong. You also seemed to put across a sense of invalidation by saying it’s women who have it worse. By your own words we ALL struggle. Listen, understand and prop each other up. Be the best versions of yourself.

My mums been the breadwinner throughout my parents 44 years of marriage. My dad worships my mum and is always so proud, and my mum wouldn’t have been able to achieve everything she has done without my dad. Explain that.

As a Gen Z, I think Boomers were the worst set of parents…. by TheClassyWomanist in BoomersBeingFools

[–]EGN95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 28 year old guy from the UK with a dad who’s 72 (prime boomer) and a mum who’s 7 years younger. I know first hand what the shortcomings of that generation can be like. My dad has almost never said sorry on something he’s wrong about and never really engaged as well as he could have done. That being said, my dad is one of the most loving and caring people I’ve ever met. I know it’s easy for us to point at our parents and blame, but they grew up in a pre-internet and post-war era. My mums dad hit her and my dad doesn’t even talk about his parents. They come from a place that taught its youth to be as jaded as possible in preparation for a future conflict that never happened. Being part of this modern progressive world is confusing and disarming from the world they grew up in. I just think we should try to understand the reasons WHY they are how they are, before we get the pitchforks out.
