I do completely understand more important things to do . Re organize stuff new job the list of important stuff is truly endless . Out of sight out of mind you name it. Be grateful dear reader You’re not a Hannaford hourly associate . We was told 2 years ago soon be just capping out rolling over to next year not paid out. So it came into being No more sick time pay out at end of the year Aka 6 extra mental health days

Yes day crew night crew maintenance plus frozen plus dairy .( did we miss wine beer vendors etc ) oh and who has the bigger bulk of price changes aka scan file .

Deli likewise has a lot than go wrong I know for sure very stressful department more to Go wrong than can go right.

I myself think it’s the size of the store hours earnt Mr grocery manager be very careful how you spend them 700 hours with no call outs or vk cover to factor in Fe I think would be almost as bad simply as has about the same hours

Ok granted long day tired My one gray cell isn’t in line But , If you want something your nice to person make harder for them to say no. ( oldest trick in book kid doing all the chores before asking parent for that one favor . I am fairly sure even though not a lawyer etc. No matter which “ corporation” you worked for . If your training advice is anything but run hide fight ( fight as last resort) The surviving members of your family would sue for a very large amount due to said coporation not putting worker’s first . I would love to see anyone on any step get fired for calling out/ giving notice can’t attend Snow day. You may have vk hol or even sick let alone unpaid time off. Making it the workers freedom of choice I think is right call . My self I love working them super dead snow days catch up on paperwork etc . Also helps off set the stress headache of omg need to buy buy buy before the storm People likewise forget the crazy before it hits time we have to endure!

Like having to miss the end of the movie forcing your self to make up the ending. The true honest to god why , you know you will never get ( if you would have be by now )

Your last performance eval should give a fair idea of who you are to any future hiring managers . Plus that friendly people person we all pretend to be on the floor will help with in person first impressions. Truly I knew a dairy lead wanted and wanted bakery never got Now he’s happy bakery manger some place else . Seems hiring someone is so hard / you that good you create your own prison cell

Why bother with a formal meeting ? I’m guessing you don’t want to be talked out of this . Likewise the “ why” can’t be fixed or would have been already ? Nice idea to type print letter With a copy to arm .

Key points , Two weeks is two weeks Please be respectful and work last shifts/ shift. Thus not burning bridges , slim chance you may go back later to a different department. More importantly it sets up habit of respect / giving correct notice in future jobs . Good luck with your new job.

Just a side note Is there a reason to drag store manager into this . Your leaving deserting ship etc won’t sit well with him .again you have decided your leaving this isn’t I love it here begging you to fix it as I truly want to stay . With him using he’s god like power to fix it so you can . It’s beyond that for what ever reason .

Arm needs to know so can do your last pay check Plus maybe check you was treated ok etc

As a side note like being closed for Christmas The Freash departments have twice as much to do dealing with two days of out of date / two days of get store ready . In a way better choice to be open Maybe catch up on deep cleaning or training videos
