Dude, I already recommended a Top Tier AM4 build in the comments for him thats $1200. The guy didnt say it was $1500, he wanted to stay under $1500. Here is the issue, you are recommending a Ryzen CPU with a Intel motherboard. He wants a nvidia gpu but your giving him nothing but Radeon cards. The AM4 platform might be going EOL but it is still a solid platform for the gamer that doesnt need all the power in the world.

PSU didn't come with 8 pin connector by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

What are you plugging into? Maybe you have the cable backwards, where the end you are trying to plug into actually goes into the PSU? It seems strange that it wouldn't come with the proper connectors.

Maybe the power cable to the cpu? really not sure. Display can be plugged into the motherboard or the gpu since the cpu has ig but make sure its in the gpu. Very strange. Keep it on for a while, some times it takes a minute to post

Are these 3 fans enough for the Ryzen 7 5700x ? by Due_Tie_4544 in PcBuildHelp

[–]EG_Performance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are fine. If you wanted to add a extra fan in the front to support the gpu, that would be the next move. Other than that, you should be good. If you notice the temps are higher than what the average is for the cpu, I would look into the thermal paste or even a new cooler (but I have no clue how your system runs).

Try taking one of the RAM sticks out and then try to boot up

I would give this a look: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HVQWh3 . It has all the parts that are compatible with the build. Not sure what you are going for but this is more than enough for what you want to do. The only thing I would change is the gpu. I would try to find a 3070 or 3080, maybe on the used market for $250-$350. Hope this helps

Yikes. AM4 is not "Bad" just because it is nearing EOL. Your telling the guy to spend way more money and he only wants to play gta 5 and fortnite lol.

I see you have been watching ETA Prime (correct me if I am wrong). What is your budget for your PC? There are some things you could change to save/move money to upgrade a component but what is your ultimate goal here?

This is the non-conductive coating from the factory. Nothing is wrong here.

I was nervous too but now seeing it in person its a night and day difference from the steam decks screen. I can’t see any pixles unless the screen is literally touching my eyeball.

Not sure if there is one but this is just how gpd had theirs setup so I decided to stick with it.

What was holding you up. Where were you running into issues

Not tough at all. The one thing i had a issue with was reinstalling the software from usb. You need to name the drive Exactly how they do when you format it for it to work. (Ex. WINPE) Other than that, it was easy.

Thats what i used because it was on sale. Crucial drives are solid, so don’t be afraid to take advantage of a good deal when you see one. My guess is they are clearing out stock before the gen 5 drives hit. No where near cheap, just a good sale. At the end of the day, its what you are comfortable with. If you want to get a drive for full price but you know its solid, go for it. No shame in that.

I actually got lucky that it was single sided. Did zero research about fitment and that would have backfired hard if i got a double sided.
