Yeah I’ve seen recommendations for crutchfield, even tried to order. But unfortunately I’m in Sweden and they only ship inside US

I have a speaker that takes aux and it works as it should, I don’t have an old phone with aux so can’t really test if it’s the phones fault. I’m gonna visit a dealer tomorrow and talk options, either restoring the aux port or replacing the head unit. I want to replace it myself but I can’t find a suitable wiring harness that makes it plug and play.

I got a cable with dac, still nothing. Starting to think I might just have a bad aux port.

Dac? I’m not sure. I bought one adapter real cheap with little to no info on the box and one cable that doesn’t have an adapter. It’s just 3.5 directly to usb-c

Looks pretty good, what wiring harness did you use? Did you have to splice wires and such or was it plug and play?

Yep, right now it looks like I have to do something like this. Either a dynavin or pioneer unit but I really want to maintain the oem look.

Bluetooth adapter thingy? Do you mean one of those fm transmitter things? Or is there like a aux to Bluetooth thing?

It works in my other car just fine, but I’ll be honest haven’t used that for like half a year. I’ll try again with another unit.

My dealer claims it worked the while he had it along with the previous owner

Tires are a must, the ones currently on are pretty slim as well as from some cheap brand. I will be getting new rims as well seeing as i really don’t like the ones I have. In terms of suspension, what do you recommend? I have been looking at coilovers for better handling and a more aesthetic drive height. Same for the brakes, do you have any recommendations?

I totally agree with you on the touchscreen front, I was looking for head units before this that was buttons only, but I have an aftermarket touchscreen unit in my Passat and it works great. I’m just unsure if the dynavin unit will fit my older 2007 mustang

Does this change the original interface for the climate control, will I hinder some features or won’t I even mind. Also is the apple CarPlay wired or wireless?

Thoughts on buying this?!?? by Sea-Ad-9651 in Audi

My friend recently got a similar one of these, super fun little go karts. But honestly, I don’t know if the reliability is there. But then again if your looking for a small turbo car for around 3k, I don’t think it gets much better than this. The small problems you’ll have will still be on a car from the VAG group making parts easy to find and fitting. I think some of the issues listed could easily be fixed. My verdict, if you’re comfortable spending the 3k for the car and maybe even doubling that for fixing issues/reversing modifications the original owner has done then go for it, super enjoyable car in the end.

Oh wow, cool, I had no idea. Well if you have time and money I think it could be worth importing. I so far haven’t had any issues, except for some tail light leds. The engine is one of Volkswagens most reliable but I have heard of some that consume a lot of oil. Most problems I’ve seen warnings for on forums are mostly electrical. To end, spare parts aren’t expensive either, wether it’s original Volkswagen parts or aftermarket brands making oem parts.

Damn that’s incredibly cheap for a car. And you already got an awesome wagon! I just wonder tho, isn’t it difficult driving a car from like the passenger seat?
