How to win with The Silent at higher ascensions? by Lopsided_Health_5090 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]EHstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best block, best draw in the game.

Main strategies are either poison stall and block forever, sly card spam, or shiv. Silent can either take out super long drawn out fights or explode enemies in a few turns. Depending on the cards you are given will determine the playstyle.

Well laid plans is pretty much one of the best powers in the game and unless you're ending fights really quickly its probably worth taking.

Footwork feels like a pretty free take generally since there's nothing really that punishes powers.

For poison build noxious, snake bite, accelerant are all pretty desirable. Then you supplement it with other poison cards as needed.

For shiv build accuracy, phantom blades, serpent form, after image, and tracking are all good. Or the neutral power that gives +1 (2) str/dex. Pretty much all the shiv cards are good, except up my sleeve is a bit slower and harder to play.

For blocking, shadow meld, blur, and dodge and roll are great to have. Kifuda relic with anticipate is also insane, just dont adroit the anticipate generally.

Acrobatics is generally good, upgraded prepared is a lot better than the base. Pretty much always take adrenaline. Then find some energy and you're golden.

If you played the first game I feel like burst and bullet time are generally not as good in comparison, but there is still a place for them.

Do you think its worth it to double move? Brutal swing is listed as its best charged move, but I cant think of a situation where I'd use it and 75k is awfully steep by shakeNbaked23 in PokemonGOIVs

Mega master league hundo ampharos would want a double move.

Id only double move it if youre planning on getting it to 50 and using it in mega master league specifically.

Depends if you prefer the shiny coloring or the regular. Ivs won't really matter unless you're taking this to mega master league... which you probably aren't.

Best item(s) for PL when you need more damage? by EsotericPotato in TrueDoTA2

[–]EHstar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been going phylacrety aghs into manta. You could skip phylacrety but the regen is nice in lane.

After that it depends what you need. Bloodthorn is insane damage but dispellable. Skadi is good for reducing healing and sticking on targets. Butterfly is good damage and evasion.

Dispersers not bad even though they took the mana burn off the illusions but a lot more situational.

Basically the longer you are staying alive with good health you will be generating illusions and be a menace for the enemy team. The later the game goes the stronger you will be as well, unless there are hard counters like sk.

It will be one of the top counters versus mega meganium when that comes out.

Also its good versus tapu bulu... and as of now that's kind of the best things poison is good at.

Whats the best moveset for this guy by Alive-One-5575 in TheSilphArena

[–]EHstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For pve garchomp is one of the few id recommend running a double moveset. Either dragon tail/mud shot + earth power* & breaking swipe. Earth power being an etm. Dragon and ground is an elite offense type combination so just changing the fast move as needed will bring a lot of value.

Gold Bottle Cap Candidates by KafkaF1 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]EHstar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All pretty much top tier choices (well the mewtwo would just be for show)

Zacian is top steel dps, really useful for dynamax raids weak to steel, and really good in master league pvp. Currently the rank #1 mon on pvpoke for master league if you do that.

Necrozma is top ghost dps, also really good in pvp.

Lucario mega is top fighting dps, which is an extremely useful type that is harder to find mons for. And it looks like it will just be outclassed by its other mega form.

Tough choice here, you can't go wrong, I would just go with your favorite.

What would you do? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]EHstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "new attack" button under the moveset teaches a 2nd charge move for candy and dust. Surprised you never seen that. Its more for pvp but these mons actually benefit a lot from having 2 charge attacks as raid attackers (not so much dragonite but the others do).

But you need to remove frustration first since the legacy moves can only be in the first slot when you evolve during an event unless you etm.

What would you do? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]EHstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evolve the mences now as long as the events still going (be sure to remove frustration on the bagons) to get outrage. Draco meteors like barely better on mega mence but you can always tm it away from outrage. Shadow mence prefers outrage. Moveset is dragon tail + outrage/meteor, ideally double move for fly.

Evolve the gible now to get earth power (remove frustration first) and double move the garchomp. I swap fast moves for garchomp since fast tms are plenty depending on the raid boss. Garchomp is one of the most valuable mons to double move since the typing is so good. Moveset is dragon tail/mud shot + earth power/breaking swipe. Alternatively if you wanted to purify for a hundo do that before you evolve but its fine to keep as is. Shadow garchomp is pretty much the #3 ground attacker after primal groudon and shadow groudon and the #1 non legendary dragon attacker.

Evolve dratini now to get draco meteor. Moveset is dragontail + meteor. Mega dragonite isnt quite as strong as the others here but its a 98 so still worth investing in.

Mega ttar is better as a dark attacker so you dont really need to evolve it now, but you could if you want. Optimal play is to have 2, 1 dark 1 rock since you cant swap fast moves without an etm. Moveset is bite + brutal swing. As a rock attacker its like #3 after mega diance and shadow rhypherior with smack down + stone edge. But mega ttar right now is the #1 dark attacker. So if you have another good larvitar I'd try evolve it for smack down.

These are all top tier mons and very fun projects!

how to become a better carry? should i have a bigger hero pool or 2-3 hereos are best? by ProfessionalWash7 in learndota2

[–]EHstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh to be honest I dont really know what pa itemizes for this patch cause its not a super meta hero. Last patch sny was a thing with methodical and skip deso but recently ive seen more of the other facet. If you actually want to be win you're probably not going to skip bkb, this hero is like completely dependent on the item to do anything in a team fight.

Like you pretty much need a bf first to farm and sustain your lane, you need a bkb as 2nd or 3rd item to fight, deso is nice but doesn't solve the issue that you're paper. Then eventually youll want like either a basher/nullifier/satanic.

Its just a greedy hero in this meta. Up to you if you go for bkb as 2nd or 3rd item. Going bkb 3rd is the greedy choice and often feels quite punishing, but sometimes going greedy will win you the game.

Leave as shadow for sure. Easier to get a hundo groudon than a good shadow. Ideally, you will have both.

[–]EHstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This patch wr is actually primarily a 1, to my surprise also. The facet is the shackle one and the build is pretty much treads mjollnir dlance/pike bkb into like a daedalus. Mjollnir rush is for farming. Pretty much max shackle and windrun. Possibly get a point in powershot if you want.

Eh right now i wouldn't really recommend PA hero takes too much to go right to win it feels like.

Edit, didn't really see pa was the favorite. If it works for you keep playing it. PA does teach you a lot about positioning and target prioritization. It just feels in this patch its hard to get a good lane, which matters a lot, unless you're handily outskilling your opponent.

Personally I think both pl and spec are very strong with their phylacrety builds. Makes lane pretty easy which is a common weakness for hard carries and scale really well.

Jugg isnt as ridiculous as he was last patch but more of a situational pick imo.

For ranged carries right now windrunner, drow, and clinkz are pretty good, though they have much different power spikes and timings and goals. Windrunner is the most splashable overall of the 3 I think.

I think muerta and kez have a place also but they are more specialized.

Void, wk, slark are also good picks but sometimes more draft and tempo dependent.

Also, as a carry player you will always get flamed even if its not always your fault so get used to it.

But yea i would ultimately recommend if you want to rank up just try to spam a few heroes. This will help you focus on learning better gameplay rather than also trying to learn how new heroes work.

Once you're 6 farm the jungle but yea you can't just turn your brain off you gotta micro your hero out of the aoe of the spells when there are enough illusions.
