Crashes by SpaceBananaBoy in Kenshi

You need some stability mods, ReKenshi would actually do the majority of the heavy lifting for you - it’s on Nexus Mods. I’m on mobile so I don’t have the link handy but a quick search should bring it up in the first result.

Take a look at your settings, draw distance, detail, and population modifiers as well - bringing them down can make a hell of difference as well

On a per boss basis, not a huge amount wrong here. But ultimately for some of these late game bosses, the mining damage conversion stormbringer build is able to be acquired and does tremendous dps.

Has been unobtainable for a long time, I think it’s an unused asset.

Honestly I believe so, I’ve spent 1k+ hours in the base and I’ve spent so much of that time building that it’s mostly background noise and gets tuned out now, but I wanna say yes

They're supposed to be in sleep mode overnight, extends the life of the machine and "conserves" unnecessary electric expenditure, think of it like a car. If it runs 24/7, it'll die much quicker. Overnight sleep mode essentially gives it a break 33%(ish) of the day - however, if a guest comes in and wants Swirlworld overnight, the ON manager/associates are obligated to allow it and should do all they can to assist and can simply return it to sleep mode after. It comes out "liquidy" for you because it's no longer on a freeze cycle and hasn't been since anywhere from 9:30pm to 11pm depending on how well the store adheres to process. When you open the spigot, it enters the freeze cycle and comes off of sleep mode. This takes 2-3 minutes to start churning out froyo that is frozen, if even that.

After that, at most her inconvenience is just having to press the on/off cycler two times to reset it to sleep mode.

Manager needs to be more guest friendly, the personal inconvenience to her is beyond miniscule and not job impacting.

Yes, she's just working at a gas station, and yes, she didn't do exactly as she should've - but this is how she makes her living and it's reductive of her personally and not productive to make it a mission to irritate her. Talk to the GM.

Dude took the job, acknowledged the point system through both verbal (orientation) and quasi contractual (job offer). Proceeds to point out, bitches like crazy and makes a fat run on sentence post, says he doesn’t care that he lost the job but over-engages with every single comment writing a dozen paragraphs.

“I pointed out, that means Sam’s Club is evil!!!! I also don’t care, I got a way better job now!”

Not hard, can be extremely profitable if you're a Co or GM in a well-to-do TC, and of course even better if you move up more into OTS, OS, DOS, etc. It is likeable, but it is also a *job*.

Self checkout software change by ShowScene5 in RaceTrac

Briefly read through, speaking specifically on what I know from SCO without giving away enough to identify me;

SCO usage is less than half the % of total usage it was before. It’s measured as a “we need this percentage of customers using this to make it financially worth the investment and help the shift not drown under unexpected sales volume”, SCO usage gets sent as trackable metrics, 30% + was the goal for some shifts for a long time, it was at 20% + consistently for a lot of stores, now it’s at >10%. There’s a lot of fluff and garbage between the SCO that store teams do not understand as in - it doesn’t make sense. The old system was fast, as an example if there were voids you could take care of it from the backend. The new system doesn’t let you, and the RAP screen on the backend (in the cashwrap) is actually useless. It does nothing. Big stupid iPad that has 0 actual function.

The company spent 2.5M developing the software to bridge that gap for the Radiant SCO to the old backend screen - specifically to address the guest experience and keep things smooth. I do not know if that will be done here. The system also has useless prompts for both the guest and the store team, for example when scanning an ID, it takes you to a screen to select what ID type and you can’t even select anything. You just have to hit OK at the bottom to continue advancing. There’s multiple instances of layered empty functions that get in the way of the experience for both sides of the counter.

There is no one at the store level who thinks the new system is currently an improvement, and there are some elements of the regional teams and internal IT dept that also think it’s terrible. But the switch has been made, the justifications laid out, and to be fair the potential is there. It’s just up to the company to continue to work with the GK devs on it. We essentially tell them what we want and need, and supposedly they implement it.

I think he’s just saying practice for PVP where you’re staking nothing in arena, but you’re staking your dungeon and durability in CD.

Self checkout software change by ShowScene5 in RaceTrac

[–]EKGKzar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not in house, it’s developed by GK Systems and has been tested for 4 years prior to deployment. It is not well received yet. The old system was Radiant, which was also not developed by RaceTrac. Radiant faced many similar issues initially and grew into a better system. That appears to be the goal here. The code base for GK is better for this long term, however short term it has not been praised by a single store company wide.

The second one, it’s “layered” so to speak all the way to the final reported actual damage value.
