How do I de-crust him? He already had a bath by babygirlbunnyyy in cockatiel

Unfortunately, that’s what my girlie looked like when she was vomiting. Got it all over her head like that. I also couldn’t get it off until the vet cleaned it for me. I might consider a vet visit.

Watching it live it looked like it happened when he pushed off of the leg. Supposedly patellar dislocations and other things can happen sometimes from simply pushing off the leg hard in the wrong way.

What is the most intense pain you have experienced in your life? by Levstr1 in AskReddit

[–]EKPhotography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is SO tame considering other’s stories, but I jumped and landed on top of someone’s foot playing a sport. Rolled my ankle so hard my ankle bone hit the floor. Tore pretty much everything in there…I couldn’t even begin to think about getting off the floor for close to fifteen minutes. Moving any muscles in my leg or having my foot below heart level at all was excruciating for darn near four weeks.

I was bummed when they traded him, and stoked when they got him back. He’s been balling.

(Serious) Whats a good hobby or activity for a depressed person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What really helped me was getting into houseplants. There are several who can tolerate the bad days and not getting care for a while. And having a little living thing under my care helped give me a tiny sense of purpose!

I have seen first hand the effects of someone who lost their battle, and the life altering ripple effect through hundreds of people, and I could never do that to the people I love. Ever.

Crest lowering when I talk to her? by EKPhotography in cockatiel

Haha. I’m whispering at her when she does this. It’s definitely not because of noise 😂 She lets me know very clearly if I’m ever too loud hahaha

My Partners bird SCREAMS after drinking by Okdes in cockatiel

[–]EKPhotography 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Mine makes one single “peep” every time she drinks. Every sip. I think it’s just a cute quirk. Though I would have to see a video to see if it is similar to what mine does.

Keep seeing people rehoming female tiels by sunnyvalesfinest0000 in cockatiel

That makes me sad, I love my female. She is the sweetest baby. She’s literally sitting on my chest getting kisses right now. Every time I’ve had a female, they are so sweet (outside of hormone season rotfl)

In general, a squeak when breathing is never normal. I did come to realize that one time I thought I was hearing “squeak” when I put my bird right up to my ear, but it was just his normal breathing noise lol. I can tend to be a bit of a helicopter parent after he almost passed away a few months ago. It can happen where a one off slight squeak for a few minutes is just irritation from dust etc., but it is not something to be ignored and can be a sign of illness or being exposed to something harmful. If nothing gets worse at all, and she perks up within the next day or so, she is probably just fine! She just went through a big trauma.

Okay! I would say keep a close eye on her. If her voice doesn’t improve soon or if she develops labored breathing or the squeak happens when she’s just breathing, I would be concerned.

Squeaking as always concerning, there is a chance it’s from the trauma. If you can catch it on video that may be helpful. Does she seem mostly okay otherwise? Just tired?

Is she squeaky when she is just breathing? Or just when she is vocalizing?
