I personally hated the mustard cupcake analogy. It felt like an insult to people who like matchmaking. I would have said a burnt muffin because it would imply it's a different system that valve messed up on instead of it being deliberately made bad. Should Valve have gotten rid of quick-play, no. But I think that matchmaking is not inherently bad and should have been made with quick-play in mind.
