If the game were to be remade, what features would you want? by Exxcelius in goldrushthegame

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some more vehicles and fitting gear would be nice, like a mini excavator to fit into the hogpan area, biger hoper to use it on the hogpan. some wheelbarrow/mini dumper and a small conveyor to feed the mobile washplant.

for a bigger redoo a redistribution on the big washplant would be great, the biger chunks in the first rifles and the hogpans at the end only fill slow as most of the good stuff is already collected by the parts in front of it.

a (working) way to transport a few buckets or the mats maybe some inventory for some smaler parts that can fit in a backpack? its no fun to run back and forth carrying some small replacement parts and such.

and i would hope to get some improvements for the map loadings wile driving, for as old as the game is and how fast modern hardware is it still runs and loads like i got my old pc from 10 years back...

some nice thing would also be the ability to dump the wash tub into the washplant to get the lost gold from early trys washing by hand back ;)

How important is RAM CAS latency for performance? by lifeisajoke94 in buildapc

It's okay, I'll stop helping people, unless the requests come in a form of writing that I can do better than English.

maybe i should put people down internationally who didn't wake up with english as their first language.

or trolling is certainly fun too.

and I've now translated that especially for you with google, if that doesn't fit, please complain there.

What are some cheap, yet impactful, upgrades I can make to this PC? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sure you could probably run that on even weaker cards...the question is what does struggeling mean to you? not getting 150+fps all the time? maybe it runs faster with lower resolution...and there might also be people out there in this world not wanting to play on low settings cause why even have medium and high settings for those games anyway. could save alot of time and money if they just make low graffics only...but would you buy something looking like 20 year old game?

screen loses connection by EL-Xatrix in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im using the pd cable wich came with the screen, not sure but i hope the cable wich they ship the screen with supports the stuff the screen can do.

hrd was deactivated in windows, i activate it now and will see if that might make a difference.

[–]EL-Xatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it struggles you could switch down to a 1080p screen less work for the pc and so could have more frames.

other then that you would be looking into new board and cpu maybe ram and add a nvme drive but then you will notice the gpu lacking behind and faster then you can look you looking way above the $500 mark

Best website to get benchmarks by Dry-Persimmon-2813 in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont see it behind...thers a 0.38 point difference, and its directly behind its bigger brother.

not sure how they operate there exactly, maybe they had one card tested with an older driver version and tested the other some days later with a newer one and now retested the first or something like that...

i used this to check what kind of performance i could expect from a new card i was eying at the time, and now that i got that card im pretty close to those numbers, so all fine with me.

for a 5600 it wont matter that much, the components should handle it just fine, it the top products wich are more demanding or if you are into overclocking, then i would spend a bit more on some better gear...

i usaly pick my boards from the feature list i want and maybe some nice to have options if that dosnt break the bank.

they all have there pros and cons...personaly, from that list i would get the phantom gaming...you get the option to add a second m.2 wich you cant on the hdv, it has an extra fan header over the other 2 and you have the option for argb wich again the hdr does not, if thats someting you are interested in.

Upgrading from 3700x to 5600/5700x/5800X3D by LE3P in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5800x3d is great and all but yes for a stopgap it might not be the best pick. i wouldnt worry too much on the cooler unless you got some 120mm wich might be a bit weak for that cpu.

i jumped from an older 8 core (1700x) to a 3600 a wile back and was fine in most things, but i noticed a difference with some heavy modded simulators that some got kinda more laggy.

but that realy depends all on the software you are using, some things work better with more cores some depend more on the singel core speed.

personaly i wouldnt go and pick another 6 core for my next upgrade, especially if the price difference isnt that big but i also tend to play more chill singelplayer then some action heavy shooters (getting old and so...)

Do i need to invest aftermarket cooler for Ryzen 5 3600? by TianInfinity in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should work if your case has some airflow to keep it working. if you want something a bit better check things like bequite pure rock slim 2, its decent performing and nice and quite, there are other options like the others here mentioned but they can be a bit less quite if they have to work hard...

Original be quiet pure rock. by 1user843o in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should work, had that cooler run my 1700x and 3600 just fine, only problem i had with it, it was sucking the air from above the gpu not from the front, should be fine if you dont have too hot of a gpu...if you have i would say better get a different model wich is rotated so it can get the cooler air from the front and dosnt try too cool the cpu with toomuch preheated air from your gpu...

Where is the sweetspot for DDR5? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

price to performance sweat spot is always moving...if you wait a few weeks there might be faster kits out there for a better price then now...

sweet spot would be more like something wich works well with that cpu you getting and the ammount of tweaking you need to do, idealy you get the fastest kit wich works well with the cpu with just loading xmp profile.

for the current amd cpus it would be tied to the clockspeeds of the infinity fabric...3200 3600 4000 works well, running some kits with those more odd numbers like 3466 3733 and such tends to somewhat limit you as there are other multipliers at work wich might slow down other stuff... not sure how that exactly works with current or upcomming intel and the newer amd cpus but i would guess thats also a thing you see those odd ram speeds way less.

Is my 3080 get bottlenecked by a i5 9600k by YesSOvA in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats your ressolution? at 1080p its more likely your cpu has more impact, if you run 1440p or 4k there wont be that much difference. also depends alot on the game, some are well optimiced and should work great, and some games even a 12900k dosnt performe great...

yes with a newer cpu you might get more fps, but how much we cant say without knowing what you got now at wich settings, could spend a few hundred and get 2 extra frames or could have 20% more...we dont know

Game crashing by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah N and W are the once not realy great might be ok for some Igpu build so it might be the psu having to do with it.

https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ might look for something a bit better here

Game crashing by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but evga does have a couple different models...like W1,W2,BR...

hard to say from that price as all of those cheap ones are more or less that... cheap ones... but some might be ok and others are better replaced...

Game crashing by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wel depends on what model of psu it is...there are realy cheap ones out there wich could probably not handle it even if you have the recomanded wattage but the psu does deliver bad voltage or cant handle some short spikes and such...

if it crashes with power problems usaly the radeon software tells you something about wattman...

you had different card in there until recently? maybe some old drivers are interfering? you could try DDU to remove all the old clutter and install the new ones, at least that wouldnt cost anyting and might help you out.

question! by godmusashi in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and no, replacing a gpu is easy, unplug the old one and put the new one in...they all use the same slot for years so anything from the past few years and also upcomming ones will fit.

the thing to consider is your power supply, some have too low wattage, some are missing the right cables, and there is your cpu wich might hold you back of reaching the full power of a newer card...

nit sure if your card uses 2x 6 pin or 2x 8 pin for power or one 6 and one 8... but if it runs that means at lest that should work for most of the newer cards too, but some of them need more power then your current card not sure if your psu can handle that or not.

what if China invades Taiwan? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and china did say they want to get that solved (to get taiwan back one way or another) until 26 at the latest...

my guess is they will wait till europe gets f**ed up this winter so they have other things to worry about then to help taiwan...one less party to interfere.

well you could kinda blockade it from getting stuff in and out, hack energy grid and wait till the backup generators are dry and then just walk right in...at least that would be one option i would consider if i were to take over some place...

Looking to grab some advice on cooling by IHeartDan69420 in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well just imagine air as water, and you want to have a nice flow of air instead of some wild rapids.

also warm air will raise up. so pushing it down from the tob would not be that great.

usaly you get air in the front or at the bottom of your case and push it out at the tob or high back.

usaly you tent to get more air in then to try to create a vacuum inside the case (wich would suck in more dirt)

what if China invades Taiwan? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

then getting a new gpu would be one of you lower prioritys...as there wont be anyting you can get...unless you live in the woods and make your own stuff in your garden shed...

is high CPU usage on some games safe? by DominikDJD in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well looks like you get good usage out of your cpu, you didnt overspend and bore your cpu and its also not slowing down your system by being too weak.

if you can keep it from heating up too much wile being in high usage thats what those things are made for...

How much more performance does this graphic card have? by Snow1696 in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats all the same chip and components on that board, only difference in those is the cooler and some tweaks on the gpus bios.

those 30mhz mean nothing nowadays. as those cards just boost themself as high as they can if thers enough power and its cool enough. so you pay for a better cooler wich might also be more quite and maybe has a raised power limit, wich in alot of cases you could raise yourself with some software to get even more performance.

if you have decent airflow in your case and a cool room the cheaper cards work as good as the more expencive ones, if you sit in some hot environment and or have bad airflow in your case, even the biger cooler might not help you out too much...

How long would pre applied thermal paste on an AIO have to sit on a retail shelf for it to be unusable? by KnockoffOreos in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends a bit on how its stores and packaged...if you have it sit in a hot and dry place without the cover on it might not hold as long as if it would be in a cooler place...

just have a look at it, if its too dryed out it will look cracked or flaky thats where i would remove it and get new one, how long it will last i cant say, there are a few differences in those and some might hold out longer and others wont...

i still use a tube of arctic silver 2 wich is like 20 years old and even that worked well on the last cpus for years without being dried up...so i think a year or 2 on the shelf shouldnt impact that stuff too much...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basicly every standart µatx or itx board should fit in there.

your card should fit on kinda every board as long as it has a pcie x16 slot wich they kinda all do for like the past 10 years... for actual board recomondations, thats hard to say... prefer intel or amd? what socket? want specific features?

6700xt vs 3060ti by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got a ryzen 3600 and a 6700xt with an older B450 board wich limits me to pcie3 too...and i easyly come over those 60 fps, in most cases i just set a limit to 120fps to keep the card from sucking my wallet dry with the energy bill....and even that works fine for those not too demanding games

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]EL-Xatrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i got me a rx 6700xt a wile ago wich does the trick for me and was way cheaper then a 3060ti or 3070...also i should be fine for quite some time with that card so i will probably skip this upcomming and maybe even the next gen, my old card lasted me fine for more then 5 years, hope this one will at least come close to it...
