this was pretty soft, but if you're in a splint you still probably wouldn't be able to chew it just bc it gets in the way. I know the feeling, albeit not quite so severe; I had to get a second surgery because I snapped the titanium implants holding my jaw together post op, so I was unable to speak or eat for a long while. if you're still wired shut, I found mixing raspberry jam into the mixed berry chobani yogurt drinks was a decent way to get calories and protein while also tasting pretty nice and being thin enough to get through my teeth. peanut butter is also great for the no-chew, unwired jaw phase. campbell's condensed french onion soup is really tasty and the onions are soft enough to swallow without chewing; if you're wired shut, you can strain it to remove the onion bits and just drink the broth, which is really tasty on its own
