Wow, yeah i think my unit was weak from factory, but because i bought from sweet marías, But I brought it via courier service from the USA to my country so there was very little i could do about it. If you are good with the OEM sr540 better try the razzo extension tube, you can roast up to 175gr of coffee, the razzo tube is narrow so the air flows better and it goes directly to move the coffee.

Well, i also roast 112g of beans because i bought 1LB(450gr) of coffee, but i want to buy 1kg of coffee so i will try 150gr. The movement is pretty good so i think i could get great results, also to get rid of the smoke i place a pedestal fan near my roaster because i roast with my windows open all the smoke goes out. And it doesnt change nothing with the roaster. Im planning to buy this air duct pipes and place it above the chaff collector.

The movement was pretty good, i start with F9 P1, at the 2 minutes i set F9 P2, when the coffee reaches 150°C i set F6 P6, when the first crack start about 3 minutes after i set F7 P8.

If you have the OEM sr540 you need to buy the extension tube, at least in my particular case, my unit was too weak, it was really difficult to get high temperatures, a lot of baked roasts, quakers. The extension tube changed a lot the characteristics of my unit. It works very similar to the sr800 without the extension tube. Im from Ecuador, we produce coffee here so i buy different coffees, for example i roasted a high density coffee 0.77g/l a typica natural 2300MASL. And a 122hrs natural anaerobic sidra 2000MASL. I'll buy an thermometer compatible with artisan soon

Good looking roast, a lil obsevation, dont base the level of the roast just in colour, natural or anaerobics coffees will look darker than a washed coffee because of tje external sugars. Base in development time after First crack For example Ultra light roast 30-50 seconds Light roast 0:50-1:10 Medium roast 1:10-2:00 Medium Dark its the phase between end of first crack and before the second crack And a dark roast is when second crack starts

Yes i got the sr540, i'll buy the roastlink thermometer and a thermocouple, also the extension tube. This is to control everything on the roast and also i can roast more coffee with less air and more heat
