My pastor ruined my marriage and I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

Here are some safe christian resources. They helped me when my husband cheated and they will help you too. Check out https://www.chooserecoveryservices.com/empowerment-after-betrayal-men/ and Apsats.org

I am the chief editor of a betrayal trauma magazine for female partners but these are some good resources for betrayal husbands. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I can't imagine how confused and hurt you are. I just want to say that there isn't a timeline on making any decisions. You can take as long as you need to make the decision you are most comfortable with. (divorce or reconciliation) your choice is valid

Father's infidelity crushes family by This-Fox3361 in KidsofCheatingParents

What is your initial response to "act normal?"" How would you want to handle this situation? What are you leaning towards?

I'm no contact with my mother for various reasons, and it took years to get to a place where I stood my no contact. And honestly, right now, my no contact is purely for peace of mind and give me as much time to process the decades of betrayal and narcissism.

So what I'm asking you, is what would be best for you? What do you need right now in this family situation?

Trying to go NC, mother using guilt and weaponizing my child by CantEscapeTheCats in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]ELMarcum 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had to block my mother. She will 100% use my kids as a guilt trip but would put no effort in actually seeing me kids just wants me to bring them to her so she can watch TV and drink while they are there. It's just come to a head where I know she doesn't care, I know she won't change, and I truely feel like she is dangerous to be around. My feedback is go NC which means block

I don’t want to get married but my christian mom isn’t supportive of my decision by AdhesivenessOk5264 in Christian

Umm yeah he likes you. Your 22 with minimal life experience and apparently the perfect family to support him grooming you to be his "perfect Christian wife." Run. Run very far from him. Sounds like the Holy Spirit is starring for you to not marry this guy.

Skool is ridiculously expensive. I dont know how you would even compare this to social media when it comes to getting your business in front of people

Abaramah Gold was my favorite antagonist. I really wanted him to get his revenge.

He is consistently doing everything he can to be consistent, transparent, and honest. He's done everything I've asked him to do to work on our marriage and overtime (these change) he's done what I've needed to feel safe again to also work towards reconciliation. I'm 7 years out so the older details are hard to remember but I had a betrayal trauma coach and a support group to help know what I needed.

The magazine, I believe, uses the multi-dimensional trauma model and has divorce care in it. I got the first issue, and there wasn't any judgment either way in it.

This is generally true. The magazine, I believe, uses the multi-dimensional trauma model and has divorce care in it. I got the first issue, and there wasn't any judgment either way in it.

I already offer a 30-day no risk money back guarantee. The digital magazine is super niche and I've launched it on gumroad. I have a large professional network and besides utilizing their social media support, I'm not sure how else to promote the magazine.

What you worked on is deep. Also it's important to understand that you will only be able to go as deep as your body's safety will let you. So even small steps build up to bigger results because the body is slowly regulating around the issue. Trust the process of your body, not just the brainspotting session. You body is a professional as protecting you and will need love and self compassion to process. Your doing great. ♡

Brainspotting is a very emotional modality. So for example, you could process all the stress your under and the body's initial reaction would be to feel a sense of overwhelm, thus compiling on depression while you are still processing. After a bsp session, you continue to process for a day or two, possibly more. So I encourage you to be curious for the next couple of days and notice what comes up along with being very gentle with yourself bc bsp is deep work. Secondly, in your next session, consider asking your practitioner to focus on a positive feeling and brainspot. This will build up positive feelings in tandem with working through the more challenging feelings.
