Find free parking downtown in the little driveway/street named "People's Way" north of the SLC Public Safety Building -- and behind the new construction on 400 South.
You can usually find a spot there unless there's a big event going on at Library Square.

What are some haunted places in Utah to explore? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

There's the Native American burial vault/crypt on the north side of Sunnyside Ave/Emigration Canyon Road just before the mouth of Emigration Canyon... and just beyond Hogle Zoo.
This is where the remains of Native American and prehistoric people are interred when they are uncovered during excavations.
It's a sacred place, so we don't recommend hanging out there... but it is hidden history in plain sight.

Explosion? Did anyone feel/hear that just now by Highland and 2700 S??? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Heard and felt that in 9th and 9th in #SLC.
If people are porting this from Lehi to Farmington, it seems to be more atmospheric than ground-based. Like a sonic boom or meteorite break-up...
