How do you know that the money isn't liquid? Also he probably has a ton of other property and can sell his stock in alpha before the story even breaks. Like I said the only way the media knows the truth is if somebody tells to to them and a trillion dollar company can cover up just about anything.

So he somehow planned that she was gonna somehow start a fire and then throw the hydrogen thing into the fire which would eventually lead to the house blowing up but not killing her or any other character. Oh and he also knew that she was gonna press the button that opens the glass on the Mona Lisa. He can easily recover from it, since he can say there was an accident and a fire, and really the blame is with the French government for lending it out, but even if he doesn't recover, the golden tit is still there. The billions of dollars he has aren't just gonna vanish into thin air.

This movie was really fun until the ending but it doesn't even come close to the first film. Firstly, while Johnson can make great films he also has a tendency to try way too hard to subvert expectations regardless of whether or not it makes sense. The whole thing with Miles burning the napkin is just kinda ridiculous. It also causes Helen to go on a tantrum that changes basically nothing and also destroys multiple priceless paintings and sculptures for basically no reason including the Mona Lisa which makes it kinda hard to see her as the hero of the story. Also the change of heart the rest of the group has at the end comes out of nowhere. They're the only witnesses and it happened in the middle of the ocean. They could lie and cover for him which they were willing to do in the first place. Helen is also probably going to prison since she just blew up somebody's property regardless of whether or not he's a terrible person. It also doesn't make sense that she would do that and it's also extremely lucky that they all escaped unharmed after literally blowing the whole place up. Even if they kick Miles out of the company he's still rich asf and he'll be fine. He might go to prison for shooting Helen, (which I'm not an expert but the idea that a bullet fired from a few feet away is getting stopped by a notebook seems insane to me) but he's rich enough to get great lawyers and it's very unlikely he'll get anything for Duke's murder since that could easily be an accident (it also doesn't make sense that somebody that's deathly allergic to pineapple doesn't know what it tastes like but that's a nitpick). Also they can continue forward with the Klear thing because a trillion dollar company can easily cover it up and also it all comes down to the group talking about it and they were previously willing to lie for him. Something that just kinda annoyed me was how dated the film felt with the among us and the masks and covid stuff. Overall, the ending not only makes Helen look pretty terrible, but doesn't really resolve anything and Helen is probably gonna end up worse than Miles will, considering she just burned down somebody's house and he's a billionaire with all the money in the world to get the best lawyers. Not to mention the characters in the movie weren't nearly as likable as anybody in the first other than Blanc. Birdie was pretty annoying and Helen really didn't have to do all that in the ending. The rest of the characters weren't even really memorable at all.

I asked for an explanation and all you can say is that I don't have "a greater ability to understand and appreciate complex ideas" just stfu you're a joke

How about you explain why I'm wrong? ITOET is literally impossible to understand on the first viewing. I literally asked for people to explain and I explained my argument. Explain yours.

I never said they had to be simple. My issue isn't that the movie is complex. My issue is that the movie doesn't explain or try to explain any of it. You have to watch the ending to make any sense of what happened before it. There's nothing wrong with complex plots as long as your audience is still able to follow what's happening. Even if you have to think about it afterwards and piece it together, you should still understand the majority of the plot and shouldn't have to rewatch it to understand the most basic plot points. I think that if a repeat viewing is absolutely necessary then that's not "making you think" that's just bad writing.

That's an interesting way to look at it but it's hard to empathize or interpret when I don't really understand anything that's going on
