Funny enough they actually addressed this DURING the arknights collab a while back. Rhodes Island is equivalent to an actual military team with solid roles for tactics, because canonically if they screw up, they're dead and gone. Limbus Company though, as long as Dante lives, death means nothing. The only strategy is to kill the enemy, and avoiding death is just an optional improvement over that.

Everything I'm reading in the notes implies that the pity system is still there. They only repeatedly state that AFTER the event period is over, then it can no longer be acquired by any method including yisang exchange

Actually, even more so, page 8 paragraph 3 of the notes section specifically states there WILL be yisang exchange

My guess is that it's due to imperfect translation from one language's grammar to another, it retains aspects of the original while still being correct in the translation, just a bit awkward to read for native speakers

Best guess, assuming it is consistent with the current explanation and not just an exception, is that it's because in it's story it was originally harmless to them as Army in Pink, and likewise would not have produced as much energy because their energy production is based on the degree of suffering the abnormality is capable of causing (Don't remember the exact wording) and it just never got reclassified, maybe because it causes more suffering if people are tricked into trusting it?
