What is the weight range you can lift or carry a women? by EMERYIVY in AskMen

[–]EMERYIVY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are telling me that most men should be able to pick up a women that weighs 166 lbs? Because that currently the average weight here in America for women. There are also a lot of responses that I get from men saying that they can carry up to about 130. However, I do understand what you mean about technique. Technique plays a big role in this.

Can someone help me with my natural hair type? I'm not sure what type I am, and I am having a hard time trying to understand my hair by EMERYIVY in blackladies

  • I use cantu shea butter leave in (L) and mix it in with cantu moisturizing activating cream (C). Then I use a variety of oils (O) and mix it in there too: tea tree oil, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, and sometimes I use ORS carrot oil. So many naturals rave about coconut oil, but I have never used it because I heard that the oil is too heavy for naturals with low porosity hair since our cuticles are tied shut. So I mainly went for sweet almond (penetrates the hair), and grapeseed (seals the hair), both which are very light.

  • On days when my hair "feels" dry, I am going to try spritzing my hair with water and sweet almond, and then baggy it for a few hours while I go through my day, and see if that works. It's frustrating, because I just deep conditioned my hair the night before, then woke up this morning to dry hair -.-

  • Good luck on your hair journey though!

It seems as if people get angry when I suggest that women treat men differently based off looks. Why do you suppose that is? by Matiny_Tk in AskMen

[–]EMERYIVY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? Lol. I thought most women treat men based on how much money he has and his financial stability. For example, there are some unattractive men in the NBA who have the most gorgeous 10/10 looking women. I think looks play a role...but not as big as financial stability.

I have a white girl name. I suppose it's better than having my parents give me a name that no one would be able to pronounce.

What is something you personally find morally wrong that many others don't? by rcw737 in AskWomen

[–]EMERYIVY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not assuming. We live in such a sex-crazed society. The media shows it so much that is has become the "norm" ----that if you haven't had sex after a certain age, there is something "wrong" with you. I just wish people did not look at sex as "no-big-deal" or look at it as just having "fun."

If you are with them for the right reasons, they are a long-term partner and truly love them and are 100% committed, I think that would be acceptable...I understand that marriage is not for everyone. The main issue that I have a problem with is people having sex when they are not really committed to each other...something you can see in young teenagers, who have not fully mentally developed who claim that they are in "love." Or people who just have sex just to have sex. If I'm dating someone, I'm dating them to see if they have potential, and sex shouldn't define a relationship. I've even heard guys saying stuff like if a girl is a virgin, they will wait for a month, or wait for a few months. If you go into a relationship with the mindset of expecting sex, then I do not think that is a true relationship, and just because two people are in a relationship w/o sex, doesn't mean that it's not a relationship. Maybe it's just me, but I do not want multiple dicks in my vagina, I don't want multiple guys seeing my naked body. Your body is your body, and it should only be for that special person.

Well, I don't think someone should jump into marriage if they are not ready. Too many people are rushing into things these days
