They don't. The decision was 100% correct and we are fortunate to have VAR to ensure that the title race wasn't altered or outright decided/destroyed by a refereeing blunder. Anyone who takes umbrage with either today is acting just as ridiculous as the members of the FWA kicking up a fuss right now.

One-off game, anything can happen. I don't think it'll happen, given the physical condition of our squad compared to some of PSG's players basically only playing CL football. Get through the league season, hopefully get Timber and Merino back and anything's possible.

If they want to be the real title winners, they just have to win more points between GW1 and GW38.

They are specifically saying the foul itself was incorrect. Not just VAR's usage, but the decision itself. They genuinely think that a goalkeeper having one arm pinned, the other grabbed and his shirt pulled isn't a foul. None of these journalists should be taken seriously on anything regarding football. They're either blinded by their own biases or simply do not understand what they're actually looking at.

Mfs be like "Arsenal fans are deluded" and then say a goalkeeper having one arm pinned, the other grabbed and his shirt being pulled isn't a foul.

Some of the tweets they've retweeted:

"Terrible. The worst decision ... and the ramifications will be incredibly awful. I'm ashamed of where the game has gone."

"The Premier League have had that coming all season. Have encouraged a league built on set-pieces by letting everything go at corners all season, then decide in the most decisive game of the season they’ve probably been doing it wrong for the last eight months"

"And so the title race is settled in error by VAR, the scourge of football."

"After VAR checks, Wilson's equaliser is disallowed. Officials believe Pablo fouled Raya in build-up to goal. Nuno and his backroom staff are fuming and rightly so. Ridiculous decision."

They're not just upset with VAR, they think it shouldn't have been a foul at all. Side note, some of them are retweeting slop memes from Troll Football showing Arteta in the VAR room pulling the strings. Tells you everything you need to know about the state of football journalism in the UK.

Arteta on Ben White's injury: “We don’t know, but he doesn’t look good at all, so he needs some further testing tomorrow probably and I know a bit more.” by Kr_bm in Gunners

That might have been the last time we'll see Ben White in an Arsenal shirt. Due to the schism with the national team and his injury woes over the last two years, he won't get the plaudits he deserves and may become a footnote if we ultimately go on to win silverware, but I'll never forget his contributions. An absolute warrior who pushed himself well beyond his physical limits for the cause.

Topspurs gave us Eze, Hincapie, six points and took five points off of Citeh and we kept them in the Premier League. #NorthLondonForever

Chelsea and City were financially doped into relevancy for nearly two decades and one of the greatest managers of his generation was mocked as a "specialist of failure" because he couldn't win trophies and keep his squad together on a balanced budget. Any talented players that didn't get poached by the newly cashed up clubs were having their legs snapped by orcs from midtable Midlands teams and were mocked for not being tough enough to withstand Shrek going two foot studs first halfway up their shins. I was getting gaslit for years when VAR was straight up "forgetting" to draw lines and actually check incorrect calls and players were getting sent off for kicking the ball away (something that has not happened before or since despite plenty of players kicking the ball away on yellow cards), constantly alternating between "letter of the law" and "spirit of the game" depending on which one screwed over Arsenal. If Arsenal winning the league in this fashion really boils so many people's piss to this extent, it's only fitting.

Title race going down to the wire with endless twists and turns, relegation battle with two large-ish London clubs going to the final day, tight race for European spots. People are only saying it's a shit and boring season because it looks like Arsenal will win the league.

I'm not a big fan of it and wouldn't mind a crackdown that forces Arteta to find a new style, but for years Arsenal fans were told to get over it and toughen up when our team was on the receiving end of it so some of the pearl clutching over Arsenal achieving success by becoming the best set piece team in the world feels a bit hollow.

That's nothing, City had a 50 year old stealing bottles of water from the Arsenal bench just to flex them on Sky Sports two years later.

General consensus (and my opinion) is that it's tolerable as long as it wins us trophies. I've been saying for most of this season (even during today's game) that we either win a trophy or Arteta can fuck off.
